Job Description Faststream are recruiting for a Marine Superintendent LNG to work with a long standing client in London.

The Marine Superintendent works as part of the Operations Department who oversees key aspects of fleet management, focusing on safety, security, cargo operations, and navigation. This includes:
Providing guidance on cargo handling and navigation practices. Ensuring compatibility between ships and shore facilities, including terminal and charterer screening requirements. Reviewing and maintaining Ship-Specific Operational Manuals. Offering technical expertise on nautical systems, cargo, and mooring equipment. Key Responsibilities

As delegated by the Marine Manager, the Marine Superintendent will:
Manage assessments conducted by certifying and inspection bodies. Provide training and educational guidance for crew members. Attend SIRE inspections and TMSA audits. Assist the Company Security Officer (CSO) with security-related matters. Support internal audits and navigation evaluations for fleet vessels.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Minimum of one year as Master Mariner on Tankers with sailing experience as Chief Officer on LNG Carriers Valid Command-level Deck Certificate. Internal Auditor certification. Training in risk assessment and incident investigation/analysis. Knowledge of charter party terms and performance warranty requirements. Familiarity with crewing standards aligned with Oil Major criteria. Expertise in LNG and cargo operations. Experience with internal and external audit procedures. Understanding of ship-shore compatibility processes, including SIGTTO guidelines. Comprehensive knowledge of global ocean passage regulations per IMO standards.
