**Description** **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Marine Test Electricians** for projects located in the **Newport News, VA area** . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is **up to $32/hour** based on experience **plus $120/day per diem** for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Test Electrician eager to master your skills while working alongside our accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career! **Job Scope:** + Troubleshooting electrical performance deficiencies + Reading schematics and determining the cause of the fault in the systems drawings and components + Working with electrical component systems, contractor relays, overload relays, transformers, terminal boards, LVR low voltage release and LVP low voltage protection + Test and inspect low medium and high voltage cable installations **Requirements** + Minimum of 2+ years experience in the electrical field + Must be proficient in accurately reading and measuring with tools including tape measures and stick rulers + Expertise in reading and interpreting shipboard electrical installation drawings wiring tables schematics and work packages + Must have extensive knowledge of electrical theory + Solid understanding of LVR low voltage release and LVP low voltage protection + Proficient in reading and identifying equipment and component label plates + Experienced in lockout/tag out and hazardous energy control procedures + Physically able to climb vertical and inclined stairs and ladders crawl, bend, stoop, work at heights and work in confined spaces **Company Details** Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
