As our new **Market Access & Commercial Affairs Manager** you will optimize national, regional and/or local access to Boehringer Ingelheim medicines balancing broad patient access, time to access and optimum price and will represent our commercial interests with wholesalers, health care groups, health insurers & hospitals, with the aim to contribute to the results of the prescription medicine division. Moreover, you will build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including wholesalers, hospital pharmacists, etc.) in order to develop and optimize business opportunities. **This position is based in Brussels and reports directly to the Head of Market Access & Public Affairs (Belgium).** This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who wants to be part of a truly innovative and revolutionary team! Join us if you want to make the difference. **YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** + Be the main point of contact for market access topics and market access strategy in the assigned Therapeutic Area (TA). + Establish close working relationships with colleagues at a national & regional (MIDI) level (Marketing, Medical, Healthcare Affairs, Patient relations manager, Sales, Communications, Management) and support the account management approach in the assigned TA. + Input for the Forecast process, launch timelines, business decisions (including MIDIc) through appropriate tools. + In case of price changes, build business cases and seek required approvals and archive, in line with the governance processes. + Obtain and provide information about the development in health organizations (incl. hospitals) on their purchasing medicines. + Negotiate with suppliers on price and uptake of Boehringer Ingelheim products. + Responsible for discount and margin strategy to suppliers and hospitals. + Convert business strategy to relevant commercial initiatives, through collaborations with suppliers on added-value programs / projects that support the growth of the company. + Develop the Hospital and suppliers plan & pro-actively contribute to business development. + Build up and maintain relationships with suppliers, hospital pharmacists and other stakeholders involved in purchasing intra- and extramural, added value programs, developments in health care and distribution of medicines. + Plan and execute activities and projects, plan actions within projects and guarantee efficient execution conform given guidelines and procedures. + Budget management: agree with internal and/or external parties about kind, scope and costs of tasks and services which have to be delivered. + Define ROI of activities and projects, whenever possible. **WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM** + **Diploma/Master’s degree in Business Administration/Economics/Medicine/Sciences or related field or professional training.** + **Good understanding of the Belgian healthcare system and regulation.** + **Around 5 years of experience** in market access in the Belgian market. + Excellent command of the **Dutch & French & English languages** . + Solid medical / scientific understanding. + Effective cross-functional communication & collaboration (internal & external). + Ability to create and offer value adding solutions and to nurture innovation. + Strong analytical, customer orientation & negotiation skills. + Effective influencing, storytelling & networking skills (ability to build new relations with internal & external stakeholders). + Innovative mindset & strong business acumen (spotting opportunities & business case building). + Ability to manage ambiguity & to be persistent through adversity. **WHAT WILL YOU GET IN RETURN?** Next to the opportunity to develop and challenge yourself while learning from a fast-paced environment: + Work in a wellbeing-oriented organization (Premium access to Headspace and ongoing support and initiatives related to ways of working to help our employees to stay healthy and constantly improve the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being) + Customized Development plan based on your role and aspirations, with several learning platforms such as LinkedIn Learning Premium (languages + training programs) and our Virtual Campus Lifelong learning at our Virtual Campus | Boehringer Ingelheim (boehringer-ingelheim.com) (https://www.boehringer-ingelheim.com/about-us/corporate-profile/lifelong-learning-our-virtual-campus) + Good balance between work and free time (Mix of working from home within the respective country / office as well as flexible working hours) + Option to temporarily work from abroad for a limited period (up to 30 working days) - if applicable. + Working in a passionate Market Access team within a fun, diverse, and multicultural working environment + Full time basis with 20 legal holidays and 12-time reduction days + Competitive salary package and extralegal benefits. **What’s next?** We will have a look at your CV and cover letter.
