We're looking for a dynamic Market Area Procurement Lead, based inRotterdam, The Netherlands; Antwerp, Belgium or Shrewsbury, UK, to lead our Western European sourcing activities and to drive procurement excellence within our Front Line Units. This is your chance to lead the regional sourcing function, collaborating with local, regional and global teams to optimize our procurement process operations and deliver tangible results. Main tasks and responsibilities + Cost Optimization:Deliver concrete total cost reductions through RFQs, process improvements, supplier renegotiation, and make vs. buy analysis. + Contract Management:Lead contract negotiations, ensuring legal and commercial compliance. + Collaboration:Create and facilitate transparent communication between FLUs and central teams, building strong internal and supplier relationships. + Supplier Development:Lead supplier development initiatives, including risk mitigation and continuous improvement. + Compliance:Ensure adherence to Kalmar policies and local laws. + Process Improvement:Identify and implement procurement process efficiencies. + Performance Reporting:Report on procurement performance with your region, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement. What you’ll need to succeed Education: + Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering (or equivalent). Experience: + Proven previous experience in Procurement and Strategic Sourcing advantageous. + Experience managing complex sourcing projects and process improvement activities. + Sourcing experience within a global, multi-site, and cross-functional environment. + Experience gained in a large multinational company with a matrix organizational structure. + Experience working with global teams and executing transformational change projects. Your communication skills are excellent, both orally and in writing, and you are a confident presenter. You have a systematic approach to gathering information, considering a broad range of issues, grasping complexities, and ensuring you understand the relationships among problems, always seeking input from others. Finally, you are resourceful and can effectively leverage and focus resources across organizational and geographic boundaries.
