What is the opportunity?
This role will support the Market Data Control functions within the Global RBC Market Data Services team and is responsible for the administration of Market Data (including but not limited to granting entitlements, invoice reconciliation, payment and cost allocations). Market data provides the tools for revenue generation in multiple RBC businesses. Business partners are a demanding group of investment and risk management professionals who depend on timely and accurate market information for effective decision making. Decisions made using information from these systems result in transactions valued at several $B on a daily basis. Ensuring accuracy of invoice payment and allocation to the appropriate business areas is critical to spend management efforts and cost transparency. There are approximately 400 unique vendors and a user community of approximately 20,000 employees managed through this group
What will you do?
Reconcile and arrange for payment of Market Data related invoices in a timely mannerMaintain current inventory of all market data related users, vendors & servicesProvide administrative support to the extended Market Data teamFulfill requests for add/change/delete of Market Data Services for users on a global basisProvide timely responses to business/vendor queries on invoicing or service requestsDevelop a strong understanding of RBC procedures and processesMaintain strong relationships with exchanges, third party vendors and key business contacts as well as accounting and finance teamsWhat you need to succeed?
2 - 4 years of prior experience in Accounting and Finance with Market Data Supplier knowledge.Proficient in more advanced functions of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables & v-lookup.Ability to multitask and shift priorities often and complete tasks both independently or in a team setting.Reconciliation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively with people at various levels both internally and externally.Critical thinking with the ability to multi-task and manage a very high-volume deskWhat’s in it for you?
