Market Developer

 

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Market Developer for Tennessee, Kentucky, and other southeastern US areas.  The primary job function is to aggressively contact fence contractors, architects, engineers, specifiers, end-users, and distributors to create deep relationships with those customers in order to represent and grow the sales of Ameristar Perimeter Security in their specific geographic territory.

 

What you will be doing:

 

Average 4-6 daily “face to face” sales calls

As many phone calls as is required per day to follow up on projects, and keep a schedule in Outlook for the next month’s activities

Establish deep relationships with customers within assigned territory.

Utilize the CRM Software to log notes of conversations that bring value to Ameristar and /or the customer

Build and maintain solid working relationship with inside sales team (ARM, PM, TS)

Continually update customer profiles within CRM Software

Understand each customers business model and geographical coverage

Track top fence contractors by classification and market segment.

Make “product presentations” to architects and specifiers of all sorts. Current minimum requirements 60 per year.

Maintain a working knowledge of distributor capabilities.

Support distributors by providing product training, literature, hand carry samples, joint calls on fence contractors when necessary.

Notify Regional Manager of any potential customer issues that could impact Ameristar negatively.

Follow up on customers as per the direction of the Regional Manager.

Address customer problems / issues in a professional and timely manner within company policy.

Work in conjunction with the Account Manager (if applicable) within the territory as required maintaining market structure and increasing sales.

 

The skills and experience you need:

 

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Degree requirement may be waived in lieu of fence or construction related experience

Minimum of 5 years in sales experience preferably in construction related fields.

Experience in Construction preferred.

Experience in Manufacturing preferred.

Experience in calling on Architects, Engineers, and end users preferred

Valid Drivers License

.
