Market Development Representative (MDR)
As a rapidly growing company, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Market Development Representative (MDR) to join our Sales Team. The MDR role is designed for individuals eager to begin their career in sales by working closely with the marketing and sales teams to transform inbound leads into qualified opportunities. Job Summary:
The MDR is a key entry-level position that focuses on converting inbound inquiries and marketing-generated leads into qualified sales opportunities. Collaborating with sales and marketing, MDRs ensure that leads are effectively routed to the correct teams and support the broader commercial organization’s success by contributing to pipeline development.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Qualification: Use a consistent process to qualify and nurture inbound leads generated through marketing channels, ensuring they are ready for handoff to sales. "Speed to Lead" Focus: Quickly respond to and manage inbound inquiries, prioritizing timely follow-ups to book product demonstrations for quota-carrying sellers. Customer Engagement: Engage with potential customers through calls, emails, and social selling, assessing their needs and collecting defined information to determine the appropriate next steps. Collaboration with Sales: Work closely with Sales Executives to ensure smooth lead handoff, discussing lead quality and gathering feedback for improvement. Product Knowledge: Build a strong understanding of our product’s use cases and customer verticals, allowing you to communicate its value effectively. Process Improvement: Participate in team meetings to share best practices, contribute to performance improvements, and offer feedback on lead quality and conversion tactics. Continuous Learning: Commit to regular development of sales skills, business acumen, and product knowledge through internal training programs
What You Bring to the Team:
Experience: Prior experience in a customer-facing role/s is required. A college degree or relevant experience is preferred but not necessary. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present information in a clear and engaging way. Goal-Oriented: Driven by meeting and exceeding targets and being recognized for your achievements. Self-Starter: History of self-motivation, goal orientation, and drive to exceed expectations. Organization: Excellent organization skills, capable of managing multiple leads and processes with minimal supervision. Tech Savvy: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems, sales automation tools. Ability to learn and leverage new technology quickly. Collaboration: Team-oriented and willing to partner with marketing and sales to ensure collective success.
