Job Description

The Biosciences Division (BID) is a $4B+ division within Life Science Group (LSG). BID includes Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Protein and Cell Analysis, and Sample Preparation business units. The combined portfolio offers our customers excellent solutions across life science lab bench, enabling them to accelerate their research and find answers to some of the key challenges that face society.

We are looking for a result driven and innovative Global Market Development Specialist to help build and implement marketing strategies and programs for a robust portfolio of protein and cell analysis products. The ideal person will be passionate about science, communications and customer-centric marketing. This individual believes understanding users and their needs is critical to their success and enables us to better serve them. LIfe science research is an evolving market that requires dynamic and adaptable marketing efforts.

The candidate in this role will need to optimally work within a highly matrixed organization to implement global, multi-channel marketing campaigns, and build and manage tactical execution to achieve marketing and revenue targets. This individual should have a solid background in B2B marketing, with demonstrated ability to optimize marketing efforts by channel and funnel stage.

Location:

Onsite at Carlsbad, CA, Eugene, OR, Rockford, IL, or Madison, WI. No relocation assistance provided.

What will you do?

Implement strategic marketing plans for the protein and cell analysis portfolio.Drive demand generation and high quality marketing qualified leads for the technical sales specialist team, by execution tactical marketing plans for new and existing portfolio products.Build and implement technical marketing content across digital channels such as web, video, social media, and paid search and display advertising.Collaborate with product management, R&D, and commercial teams to develop sales force selling tools, technical training, and customer-facing materials.Coordinate with global functions to maintain brand profiles and company standards, including regional marketing development managers.

How will you get here?

Bachelor's degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, or other life sciences required.2+ years employment experience developing and effectively implementing marketing plans for scientific research products, requiring a complex selling approachKnowledge of the following key proficiencies: 4Ps, 3Cs and marketing mix, marketing communication channels, channels-to-market, segmentation, value proposition and marketing program development and execution.Experience with product area marketing plans, general knowledge of operating plans or industry practices for promoting and selling similar products.Experience writing technical scientific content with ability to develop messaging for sales and customer facing materials.Outstanding interpersonal skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills.Ability to handle complexity of product lines with distinct go to market strategies.Travel may be required.
