Purpose
The Market Research Manager is responsible to support the identification of future needs and trends based on market knowledge to ensure high levels of insights that will inform a robust strategic planning process. Responsible of developing and implementing Market Research projects that will strengthen the Winning with Data capability of the AbbVie PR Affiliate. This individual will build strong TA and customer knowledge, integrate information from multiple sources to develop business implications, and become a valued member of the commercial team. Prepares and implement MR plans; keeps abreast of major pharmaceutical market trends and brings forward innovative, creative ways of doing MR(i.e., new forms of analysis, new sources of information, or new measurement techniques).
The Market Research Manager is a key contributor to the Brand Teams. Works to understand the critical issues by Brand and then sources and summarizes the available market data, audits, markets reports or knowledge to support the data analysis.
Responsibilities
Oversee the development, implementation and execution of Market Research plans and projects for AbbVie covered therapeutic areas and products, ensuring that all projects are aligned with the overall Puerto Rico affiliate strategic plans.Consolidate and communicate, as appropriate, the available industry, customer, brand, and market knowledge (data & insights) to help craft robust Corporate and Brand strategies and objectives.Provide input on trends and opportunities during preparation of Affiliate strategy and Brand plans while driving primary/secondary market research efforts and initiatives.Contribute to the Brand team strategies, by effective use of market data, available market research and providing insights on new market trends.Support the Brand teams in the Insight gathering process by providing support in the design of methodologies/questionnaires, the implementation of ethnographic initiatives, and by building the Patient/Transactional Journeys.Engage and supervise external marketing research suppliers to ensure timely and high-quality project execution.Monitors and secures that Market Research activities are within budget (finds efficiencies and cost savings) and understands the fundamental aspects of financial performance.Creating and maintaining a centralized project repository and ensuring compliance on Market Research projectsEnsures compliance of Market Research by completing steps required to create, document and obtain approval of projects using the appropriate processes and tools (i.e. Insight Farm).Significant Work Activities:

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Health, Marketing, Science or related field is required. MBA or Graduate school not required, but preferredA minimum of three to five (3-5) years of successful experience in Market Research combined with strong business acumen, preferably within a pharmaceutical or healthcare organization.Strong analytic and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of basic statistics and statistical applications.Demonstrated ability to lead, be influential, inspire others, persuasive and to present itself appropriately through interpersonal relations/communications, even under considerable pressure to deliver resultsMust set ever-increasing goals and standards of performance, be a self-starter, be able to work independently, as well as have the intellectual curiosity to excel at the jobAbility to establish methods for monitoring progress toward goals and complianceProject management skills and the ability to be multi-tasking while prioritizing effectively taking into consideration the organization's needsGood communication and active listening skills while interacting within the matrix organization and providing coaching to team membersMust be able to express ideas effectively in individual and group situations adjusting to the characteristics or need of the target audienceKey Stakeholders

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
