The Market Sales Director, Education is an education vertical expert with extensive knowledge of education buyer and decision maker personas. This position has responsibility and accountability for driving sales within the Education vertical. This position will collaborate with Market Sales Directors (MSDs) and Independent Sales Partners to enable creation and tracking of sales opportunities through our dealer network and generate direct sales through personal efforts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive revenue growth for assigned vertical Grow market specific end user relationships year over year by an agreed upon percentage increase Build and maintain market specific relationships with dealers, end-users, facility managers, space planners, C Level Executives, and related decision makers Build and maintain market specific relationships with Architecture and Design Firms, Commercial Furniture Dealers, and other strategic resellers Educate and present quarterly education market trends and findings suggesting new sales materials and key sales tools needed to drive sales Prepare strategic business plan to ensure growth Assist in the negotiation and implementation of purchasing agreements and standards with end user companies Self-generate new sales opportunities monthly and coordinate efforts with MSDs and independent sales partners Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development or sales related activities Experience calling on Higher Education & K-12, both private and public preferably for premium product offerings; established relationships in the Education market required Experience in the commercial furniture or similar industry strongly preferred Proven track record in business development with demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work autonomously under management direction Provide regular sales reports to executive management Strong skills in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint required, experience working with a CRM system preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This Is a sales position working in an office/home office environment with frequent travel.

This position is Director level and may have direct reports Including both direct sales reps and overseeing independent representatives as determined by business needs.
