Role description:
Arcadis is in search of a Market Sector Lead - Land Engineering, that will report to our Land Development Growth Director. This person will have proven leadership skills and is motived to grow the Land Engineering, Geomatics, and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Practice across the GTA, South West Ontario and ultimately Canada, in conjunction with the Market Sector Lead for the Canada West. The individual must have extensive knowledge and experience within the local Private Land Development and Civil market and strong, proven business development capabilities.
The immediate and primary focus of the Market Sector lead - Land Engineering, will be on promoting business development within the GTA and South West Ontario, manage and contribute to Land Engineering projects and ensure financial viability of the business line on a long-term basis.
Role accountabilities:
Responsible for developing, in conjunction with the Business Unit Director, Practice Group Managers and Market Sector Lead (Canada West Region) the business development strategy on an annual basis to achieve growth Drive overall growth in market sector, Net Order Intake (NOI), weighted pipeline, to meet or exceed planned targets Responsible for the communication and delivery of the outward facing national Land Engineering strategy across the local region Sets business development targets in conjunction with the Business Unit Director and Practice Group Managers within Region Works collaboratively with Land Engineering business leaders across the Region and Nationally and our Growth team to develop marketing and business development strategies to win new work. Leads the Land Engineering team in developing effective client capture plans and pre-marketing strategies Develops and nurtures strong relationships with key clients, both existing and new. Drives strategy and content for external marketing communications, including special initiatives, external and internal events, conference speaking abstracts, media relationships, social media, design awards, etc. Increases awareness and exposure of Arcadis’s Land Engineering practice to our clients and the profession locally, regionally and within the Country Demonstrates leadership by participating in professional organizations, activities, and services that further Arcadis’s vision and values Mentors, advises, and nurtures the current and future leaders across our business creating a ‘redundancy’ in key client relationships Project delivery services that may include project management, design, construction and/or post-constructionQualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Business Administration 10+ years of Land Development experience Strong and matured network, robust professional connections, a wealth of industry knowledge, and a solid foundation of trust within the Land Engineering space Demonstrated expertise in strategic negotiations with external stakeholders and major suppliers Significant experience in leading and implementing complex business change solutions. Skilled in defining measurable objectives and driving performance through clear goals and accountability Extensive experience in directing major pursuits and managing business relationships at the Board level Professional registrationWhy Arcadis?

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $170,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. #LI-JP1
