The Marketing Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to help the company make informed marketing decisions. This role will use various research methods, data tools, and analytics software to uncover trends, measure campaign performance, and provide actionable insights to optimize marketing strategies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Consumer Research & Strategy
Analyze customer purchasing behaviors, sales performance, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
Conduct competitor analysis and monitor industry trends to keep the brand ahead of market shifts.
Segment customers based on demographics, shopping patterns, and engagement to personalize marketing efforts.
Data Analysis & Performance Tracking
Track and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (email, social media, in-store promotions, digital ads) and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Execute cross platform data reporting and account governance for company-owned social media.
Track monthly follower growth for all Hy-Vee social media platforms.
Develop reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators such as conversion rates, customer retention, and ROI on marketing spend.
Utilize analytics tools such as Google Analytics, PowerBI, and Tableau to extract and interpret data.
Conduct A/B testing to determine the effectiveness of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with merchandising, e-commerce, operations, and marketing teams to align strategies with business objectives.

Experience and Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field
3+ years of marketing analytics, business intelligence, or related role
Strong understanding of customer data analytics, and personalization strategies.
Proficiency in research tools such as Qualtrics, Nielsen, Google Analytics, or similar platforms
Experience in grocery retail is a plus

Physical Requirements
This position may require some traveling and overnight stays.
Visual requirements include ability to see detail at near range with or without correction
Must be physically able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 10 pounds of force to move objects as well as perform sedentary work
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions
The duties of this position are performed in a general office setting. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks a day.
