Job Purpose:
The Marketing and Communication Coordinator will be responsible for promoting the organization’s geological research, projects, and findings to stakeholders, the public, and industry professionals. This role involves developing and executing marketing strategies, managing digital and print communications, and fostering engagement with scientific and industry communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Outreach:
Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote geological research, reports, and initiatives.Conduct market research to understand industry trends, audience needs, and engagement opportunities.Create and manage promotional materials, including brochures, newsletters, and digital content.Organize outreach programs, industry conferences, and community engagement events.Communications & Public Relations:
Draft and distribute press releases, reports, and official statements related to geological studies.Manage internal and external communications, ensuring clear and consistent messaging.Develop relationships with media, industry stakeholders, and scientific communities.Act as a liaison between the organization and governmental agencies, universities, and industry partners.Digital Marketing & Content Management:
Oversee website updates, ensuring accurate and engaging content on geological surveys, research, and reports.Manage social media platforms to share research findings, promote events, and engage with the public.Assist with SEO, PPC campaigns, and email marketing efforts to increase visibility.Track and analyze website and social media engagement metrics to refine communication strategies.Event Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement:
Plan and execute conferences, exhibitions, and networking events for geologists, researchers, and industry professionals.Coordinate logistics, speakers, sponsorships, and promotional materials for events.Engage with community organizations, schools, and environmental groups to promote awareness of geological studies.Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Geology, or a related field.Experience: 4+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public outreach, preferably in the environmental, scientific, or geological sector.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex scientific information for diverse audiences.Proficiency in marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, HubSpot) and content management systems (WordPress, Drupal).Experience with social media management, email marketing, and public relations strategies.Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail. Familiarity with geological terminology and scientific communication.Experience working with government agencies, universities, or environmental organizations.Knowledge of GIS tools and mapping software is a plus.Ability to create visually engaging reports, infographics, and presentations.What we offer:

HSE Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site. Prevent damage of equipment and assets Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/ safe working practices Responsible for using appropriate PPE’s Responsible for participating in mock drills. Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site. Responsible for safe housekeeping of his work place. To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so.
