Yes Job Summary The College of Health at Oregon State University is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, professional faculty position. The Marketing and Communications Manager is a part of a dynamic and talented team that creates a variety of content to inform audiences about the college’s people, programs, and impact. The team collaborates with college leadership and internal/external colleagues to create engaging, brand-aligned communications, including visual design, multimedia, social media, ads, print, and more. The team also provides web and content strategy, branding, executive and internal communications support, and collaborative leadership in marketing and communications. The Marketing and Communications Manager will develop and implement a variety of integrated marketing tactics including, but not limited to, web content, paid and organic social media posts and campaigns, other digital marketing, photography, and videography. Audiences for these marketing initiatives include prospective undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, donors, faculty and staff, current students, and others. With the support of the director, the Marketing and Communications Manager collaborates with the college’s Office of Student Success, as well as alumni and donors, University Marketing Services & Solutions, college recruiters, OSU Admissions, and other campus partners. This position reports to the COH Director of Marketing and Communications and is a member of the college Marketing and Communications team. As a member of that team, the Marketing and Communications Manager will: + Work with the team to conceptualize and implement digital marketing campaigns using established branding. + Produce and curate videos and photos for a variety of mediums. + Lead the development of paid and organic social media, tracking budgets and project managing student workers to create, produce, and edit high-performing social media assets. + Serve as the college’s social media expert, keeping ahead of paid and organic social media marketing best practices, staying on brand, and ensuring consistency in messaging. + Monitor and report on social media and related performance metrics and optimize plans to meet objectives. + Create and oversee the timely delivery of other content, including course promotions, event promotion, internal communication, digital signage, and more, including various design requests. This individual contributes to a welcoming and respectful workplace and educational culture that translates to the college’s various marketing platforms. 50% Content creation, graphics, photos, video 20% Planning, project management, reporting 10% Supervision 10% Collaboration and coordination 5% Professional development and service 5% Other What You Will Need + Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, PR or field related to the duties of the position AND two years of professional experience;ORa bachelor’s degree in an unrelated discipline AND at least three years of professional experience related to the duties of the position. + Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to modify voice as appropriate to various platforms and audiences. + Experience with the development, implementation, and management of digital marketing strategies, particularly social media content. + Demonstrated skill in photography and videography, including basic photo and video editing. + Experience with managing priorities, deadlines, and time-critical situations for multiple projects. + Graphic design skills, including the ability to use tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or equivalents. + Ability to learn and adapt to multiple forms of digital communication systems and tools. + A proven track record of creative and innovative work. + Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully and inclusively, both in writing and verbally, with a diverse audience. + Project management experience and demonstrated success and willingness to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve project objectives, and the ability to work independently and on a team. This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months. What We Would Like You to Have + Experience creating, managing, and analyzing paid social media efforts, including direct experience in digital advertising management platforms and tools including Google Ads/Analytics, AI, social media, and emerging digital marketing tools and technologies. + Experience with deploying an appropriate brand identity. + Experience working in higher education. + Experience with basic market research. + Knowledge of AP style. + Experience with project management tools such as Asana. + Familiarity or experience using SEO and SEM . + A master’s degree in marketing, advertising, PR, communications or a field relevant to the duties outlined in the position description.
