The Marketing & Communications Specialist provides support to key stakeholders through content creation, review and distribution of marketing and communications to internal and external audiences. This person should have a passion for writing and developing high-quality content, designed to engage employees, attract and retain customers and drive company initiatives, culture and key messages. This includes providing creative direction by determining appropriate strategy and platform, while writing and designing thoughtful content. This role also owns corporate social media sites, including creating/scheduling posts that are on-brand, targeting follower growth and increased engagement.
The Marketing & Communications Specialist role has one of the broadest reaches of any corporate function and has the ability to make a direct and lasting impact on the company, its employees and its customers.
Responsibilities:
Produce clear, engaging and strategic communications that align with company objectivesWrite/edit and distribute communications in collaboration with the requestor and other subject matter expertsAbility to map clear (often creative) marketing and communication strategies for company initiativesIdentify and partner with industry publications for media and ad placementDesign attractive and creative marketing material graphics meant for print and digital media, including social media, that aligns with company brand guidelines and drives key messagesGhost write for the executive team and work closely with members of senior leadership (CEO communications, town hall talking points, speeches and other content)Owns corporate social media sites, including LinkedIn and Facebook Identify newsworthy company stories to share internally and externallyManages multiple communication platforms Acts as a brand ambassador, reinforcing corporate brand guidelines and providing counsel to support a consistent external representation of the MV brandManage content and design for the employee intranetLead marketing and communications projects and other related campaignsPlays a supporting role in crisis communications, monitoring media inquiries and drafting press statementsFollow consistent style and branding guidelinesHandle sensitive and confidential information with professionalismTalent Requirements:
Minimum of three (3) years of marketing and/or corporate communications experienceBachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English, journalism or a related field Must have graphic design skills.
