Job Description:The Marketing and Community Relations Specialist is responsible for maintaining a strong community presence and working directly with service line partners to develop and execute marketing plans and strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. This includes understanding business objectives for growth, community relations and outreach, brand strategy implementation, social media management, community health improvement initiatives, community benefit activities, and event coordination and planning. This position will also provide varying degrees of support and oversight for the Foundation and related fundraising activities.
Job Description
Collaborate with service line partners to develop and execute marketing strategies that align with system and organizational goals and enhance brand awareness and loyalty, including print and radio advertising, news releases, digital marketing, billboards, direct mail, other collateral materials and events.
Provide knowledge and support to internal stakeholders related to marketing best-practices, industry trends, web and digital, external communications, etc. to support short-and long-term growth objectives.
Manage social media platforms, create engaging and relevant content, and monitor online presence to drive audience engagement and brand visibility.
Assist in the development of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, presentations, and website content.
Align marketing, PR and population health strategies with market research and data; identifying trends, opportunities for growth and impact, and target audiences.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing activities, using analytics and other measurement tools.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in marketing, population health, and community engagement.
Identify and assist in the coordination and execution of various hospital events, including health fairs, workshops, and community collaborations; working directly with internal and external resources to ensure activities are completed and executed within designated scope, timeframe, and budget. This includes logistics, vendor management, and promotional activities.
Coordinate and participate in community outreach activities that align system and local priorities and identified health needs as identified by the Community Health Needs Assessment. Represent the hospital by serving on community coalitions/task forces.
Promote broader staff involvement in community outreach opportunities by serving as a positive ambassador for community connection.
Direct involvement in community benefit activities, including collaborating in the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) process and report development, Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) development and implementation, and annual community benefit reporting.
Location Specific: May serve as the Foundation Director or assist the Foundation Director with fundraising event planning, donor engagement, and campaigns. May assist the hospital Partners/Auxiliary volunteers with promoting fundraisers and other needs. May provide oversight of employee engagement activities.

Education and Learning:
REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field, or an unrelated bachelor's degree with 2+ years of job-related experience.
DESIRED
Proven experience in marketing, community relations, or related roles.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
Knowledge of population health concepts and strategies is preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Work Experience:
