Business Overview:
The NB Specialty Strategies Team is part of NB Private Markets and supports six niche credit-focused funds. Collectively, these funds manage approximately $12 billion in assets under management (AUM). These strategies focus on unique sources of income and return potential across various markets, offering customized solutions for institutional, intermediary, and high-net-worth clients globally. The team collaborates closely with six distinct investment teams, each managing a specific strategy within the alternative credit landscape.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing and Investor Relations Senior Associate or Vice President to support the team’s marketing and client communication efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in alternative investments, excellent technical skills (Excel and PowerPoint), and the ability to independently manage projects while collaborating across multiple investment teams. A background in alternative credit is strongly preferred.

As part of the NB Specialty Strategies Team, you will play a critical role in supporting six niche credit strategies while working alongside a diverse group of investment professionals. This role offers significant exposure to private markets and opportunities for growth within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Marketing Materials Development & Maintenance:
Create, update, and maintain marketing collateral, including presentations, fact sheets, and other client-facing materials, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all strategies.
Collaborate with investment teams to develop content tailored to investors’ needs, showcasing the unique value proposition of each fund.
Spearhead the creation of thought leadership materials, such as white papers, blog posts, and podcasts.
Investor Relations & Client Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for client and prospect inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Coordinate with the investment teams to provide portfolio updates, market commentary, and other client communication materials.
Manage due diligence processes, including completing RFPs, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), and maintaining data rooms.
Fundraising Support:
Oversee and implement fundraising efforts in partnership with investment and sales teams.
Assist with project management during fundraising processes, including monitoring data rooms, coordinating with legal and compliance teams, and tracking progress.
Provide frequent pipeline and fundraising updates to the global sales team.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
Build strong relationships with six distinct investment teams and serve as a resource for them and the broader NB sales organization.
Liaise with internal teams—including legal, compliance, operations, and reporting—to ensure seamless execution of client and prospect deliverables.
Coordinate marketing and fundraising activities across global offices to ensure alignment and consistency.
Strategic Initiatives:
Support strategic business initiatives, including new product launches and implementation.
Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and elevate the team’s marketing and investor relations efforts.
Experience & Skills Qualifications:
5-7+ years of relevant experience in alternative investments, preferably within private credit, private equity, or asset management.
Strong understanding of private markets and credit strategies is strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret investment data and translate it into compelling client materials.
Strong project management and prioritization skills, with experience leading strategic and tactical marketing initiatives.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $160,000-$200,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
