Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Marketing and Sales Representative. This position can be based at any of our major Boeing Sites.

This position will report to the Campaign and Competitive Analysis team within the BDS Business Development and Strategy (BD&S) organization. The Campaign and Competitive Analysis team engages with campaigns across BDS to support the pursuit and capture of new business opportunities. The Campaign and Competitive Analysis team is an agile, cross-disciplinary team that combines knowledge across technical, financial, and business development domains with an understanding of domestic and international customers, to drive independent competitive assessments, inform capture strategies, and recommend affordability and price-to-win ranges for specific campaigns. 

Candidates interested in this position should have an overall understanding of the current market, competitors, and financials. They must also be a dynamic self-starter with a level of comfort in managing ambiguity and analytic uncertainty.

The primary responsibilities and commensurate skills required include, but are not limited to:

Conducting primary/secondary research to drive insights on technical and business aspects of competitor approaches to specific domestic and international campaignsContributing to all phases of competitive assessment activities by executing business capture techniques and processes, which include facilitating discussions with colleagues across BDS functionsCollaborating with campaign teams in the development of differentiating capture strategiesUnderstanding key cost drivers in design and/or offer approaches for assisting in the development of pricing targetsReviewing domestic and international customer acquisition-related documents including Requests for Information (RFI’s) and Request for Proposals (RFP’s)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at any of the listed Boeing sites.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's degree or higher in a business or technical fieldStrong analytic and research skills3 or more years of experience with market forecasting/competitor analysis3 or more years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data, then summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sourcesIntermediate skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (or equivalent tools), with the ability to perform calculations and analyze data in Excel

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAdvanced degree in a technical or business/economics domainAbility to navigate analytic uncertainty while maintaining objectivity and transparencyFamiliarity with BDS products and competitive landscapeExperience with DoD Source Selection and/or Foreign Military Sales/Direct Commercial Sales (FMS/DCS) competitive sales campaignsExcellent communication skills and ability to develop executive-level briefingsActive Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) or Extended Background Investigation (EBI) is preferred.

Typical Education & Experience:

Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: USD

Level 3: $91,800 - $117,300

Level 4: $116,100 – $148,350
