**What would I be doing?** The incumbent in this position is a college and/or graduate student pursuing a career in gamingand hospitality management. This role provides experience and exposure togaming and hospitality management.Departments may include and are not limitedto Hotel Operations & Management, Food & Beverage, Marketing, Finance, and Human ResourceManagement. Duties will vary, dependent on specific Boyd Gaming department needs, interests ofthe particular candidate and academic requirements. **Responsibilities** + Responsible for actively building and retaining customer relations and acts as a mentor to employees in order to provide superior customer service level. + Implements and monitors department objectives, standards, guidelines, and budget to achieve effective supervision of the department. + Helps oversee daily activities of staff to ensure successful operation of events and promotions as measured by guest satisfaction, while retaining a highly skilled work force. + Responsible for composition of creative requests, workflow management, on-property advertising placement and effective communication of marketing programs. + Oversees validity and accuracy of all printed collateral, invitations and rules. + Meets and communicates with staff and other departments to facilitate planning for fulfilling their promotional and/or advertising needs. + Acts as a liaison with the Indiana Gaming Commission as it relates to Events, Promotions, and Entertainment insuring compliance according to state regulations. + Oversees and executes clerical duties associated with Promotions, Events and Entertainment, including scheduling, maintaining files and records, processing contracts and orders, creative design, digital creation of kiosk promotions and offers. + Distributes Promotional coupons and gifts. + Complies with Belterra Casino Resort standards, guidelines, and objectives and maintains administrative processes to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of department functions. **What are we looking for?** + Ability to effectively communicate with all external and internal guests. + Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation. + Ability to use a computer keyboard, 10-key, etc. + Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area. + Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. + Comfortable with people of varying backgrounds, ages, and abilities. + This position is subject to varying levels of noise, heat and smoke. + Public relations skills helpful. + Knowledge of computers and quantitative analysis skills helpful. + Knowledge of promotions related activities helpful. + Ability to follow verbal and written direction. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Mac OS + **Must be at least 16 years of age.** **RESTRICTIONS FOR UNDER 21 EMPLOYEES** Under 21 employees in this position will be restricted from access to the casino floor, gaming systems, and shall not be provided comping privileges. **What would it be like to work at this property?** **Belterra®** is a classic but revolutionary casino resort situated on the scenic Ohio River near the Markland Dam in Switzerland County, Indiana.
