Sunflower Bank is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Marketing Associate at our Salina, KS location.
Summary
The Marketing Associate supports the work of the marketing department and its stakeholder partners on projects in alignment with corporate priorities, compliance and regulatory requirements, company culture, and brand. The Marketing Associate helps develop content for a wide range of initiatives. This role is also responsible for helping coordinate the Marketing Department’s operational activities, and record-keeping functions.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborating with the Marketing department, internal teams, and vendors on marketing strategies and deliverables; Managing the Marketing Request Submission process and Marketing Mailbox;Providing operational support to the Marketing team;Assisting with creation and production of marketing materials with a primary focus on personal banking and branch support;Understanding company brand and banking products in order to create marketing content;Preparing, writing and editing a range of marketing content;Learning and working with various types of marketing software and online toolsHelping identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation;Maintaining existing marketing databases and digital archive systems;Assisting with the updating and maintenance of internal and public websites;Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.Responsible for upholding Fair and Responsible Banking practices and Code of Ethics and Conduct guidelines.Understand and participate in the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act program.Perform other duties as assigned.Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or equivalent, preferredInternships and/or 1-2 years’ marketing experience in a corporate or agency setting.Microsoft Office, proficiency with ExcelStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong organization skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentAbility to learn reporting tools and applications dashboards Working knowledge of traditional marketing media Social media posting and monitoring capabilitiesCreative copywriting skills (marketing materials, ads, emails, etc.)Ability to learn website CMS to help update website news articles, etc.Basic Adobe Photoshop skills are a plusMust be bondable.Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.
