As Marketing & Communications Co-Op, you will work closely with our Digital Content Manager, Senior Brand Experience Specialist and Digital & Product Marketing Specialist to complete a variety of projects that help us showcase AAM as a global technology leader and employer of choice internally and externally.This position can be either a part-time or full-time position (25-40 hours/week) with a “home base” at our World Headquarters in Detroit. The position will be hybrid, with the ability to work from home up to one day a week. This role will report to the Digital Content Manager, but will work with the full Marketing team.
Job Description
Assist Digital Content Manager and Digital & Product Marketing Specialist with content development, including writing and project managing social media copy, website content, advertising copy, product and technology promotion materials and more as assigned.Support the promotion of AAM’s employer brand by serving as a marketing liaison to AAM’s corporate Talent Acquisition team, as well as AAM facilities seeking branding and advertising assistance, with support from Digital Content Manager.Assist Sr. Brand Experience Specialist with the planning and execution of internal and external events, including trade shows, conferences, and employee engagement activities.Support event logistics, including vendor coordination, and when necessary, provide hands-on assistance during events to ensure AAM displays align with brand standards.Support AAM’s online and physical shop, managing stock levels, inventory, and reorders to appropriately distribute branded merchandise to associates. Oversee the marketing teams inventory management as it relates to promotional items and giveaways.All other duties as assigned.Required Skills and Education
Currently in school full-time, within 2-3 years of graduating with either a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Communication, PR or other related field.Skilled in written communication, with writing experience from internship or coursework strongly preferred. This can range from short-form content like social media and advertising copy, to long-form content like essays or articles.Ability to manage timelines, coordinate multiple tasks, and support cross-functional teams in executing marketing and event-related projects.Ability to work independently to develop and present solutions, as well as work cohesively as part of a larger team.Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel.)About AAM:
