Our client is the industry leader in the CPG, retail, and manufacturing space.This privately held company has been in business for over forty years and continues to experience strong growth year after year by focusing on our customers’ needs and introducing innovative new items, every year.
The Marketing Communications Manager will work closely with internal teams, including from the following groups: Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing and Engineering, Shipping and Distribution, and Purchasing to implement the marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, product promotion, and regulatory matters, while meeting cost, quality and compliance. The person will have one to two direct reports (Graphic Designer) and will contribute to social media strategy and various MarComms campaigns/initiatives.
Responsibilities:
+ Designs, develops, and distributes consistent themes, messaging, placement and branding throughout all communication touch points. Lead all packaging related projects to meet internal and supplier deadlines. Ensure packaging not only provides a positive consumer experience, but also meets cost, quality, and compliance guidelines
+ Understands products, customers, and industry and develops focused communications in collaboration with organizational stakeholders across functions.
+ Explores and adopts new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize marketing communications.
+ Oversees efficient processes for the regulatory review and approval of communication materials (including, without limitation, intellectual property markings (patents, trademarks, copyrights, etc.).
+ Sustainability Lead - Lead packaging projects focused on improved packaging sustainability goals.
+ Oversees the planning and execution of trade shows and conferences to showcase products and amplify messaging.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred.
+ 10+ years of related work experience (# of years in a management role) in Marketing communications for consumer products.
+ Solid understanding of sustainability trends and practices related to consumer packaging.
+ Creative mindset with a passion for product innovation and development.
+ Up-to-Date knowledge of labeling laws and regulations. NOTE - THIS PERSON OVERSEES LABEL DESIGN
+ Experienced project manager with strong attention to detail and ability to manage numerous high priority projects at once while being a cross-functional leader and director of project goals.
