Marketing Communications Manager (Upper Extremities)

What You Can Expect

The Marketing Communications Manager is ultimately accountable for strategy development and execution of brand-level messaging and marketing campaigns for specified product brand segment(s).  This includes project management of internal and external resources to ensure successful execution of defined communications strategies.

How You'll Create Impact Responsible for leading brand-level marketing communication strategy for assigned brands, including the development and execution of product message, market research, campaign tactics, performance/optimization and reporting. Develops and maintains a moderate to advanced level of product knowledge for assigned product brands in order to communicate product details effectively for external audiences.Responsible for ensuring all marketing materials and tactics for assigned product(s) are finalized in accordance with the overriding communication strategy and internal procedures.  This includes writing and editing content, guiding creative design, and resolving conflicting inputs during the review/approval process.Develops awareness and lead generation digital campaigns, including customer journey mapping, email nurture and evaluates the effectiveness of marketing activities to achieve desired goals set forth within the strategy. Develops industry conference strategy for assigned area of the business, in correlation with larger Marketing Communications team. This includes development of product displays, conference specific business segment messaging and lead generation campaign tactics, when appropriate. Responsible for M&A integration of marketing communications strategy and tactics in close collaboration with Corporate Communications. Develops materials for patient education related to responsible brand segment(s) and drives product related content for direct-to-consumer campaigns.Ensures all projects are completed for assigned brand/segment(s) stay on time and within budget, including management/ preparation of budget for responsible brand segment(s)Serves as Marketing Communications lead throughout New Product Introductions development process for assigned products.Maintains health and relevance of website, sales intranet and literature catalog content for assigned brands.

What Makes You Stand Out Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form with a clear and concise manner. Proficient copywriter Excellent organization skills with the ability to independently manage many projects at one time and prioritize accordingly.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional/multi-disciplined teams including but not limited to: Product Management, Downstream Marketing, Sales Administration, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Clinical and Sales representatives.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Adobe.Desired proficiency with Adobe Marketo and Veeva Promomats.   Experience in managing social media accounts, running paid advertising campaigns, and analyzing campaign performance metrics. General knowledge of medical device business including the science, products (Zimmer Biomet and competitors), research and commercialization process, manufacturing, marketing, and sales.
 Education/Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or other related field preferred.  Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, or medical device product management. 
 Travel Expectations Up to 25%
