Marketing Coordinator

SUMMARY

The Marketing Coordinator with Contra Costa Electric will be responsible for coordination of corporate and client centered communications and develop and maintain marketing channels for the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement strategic and tactical steps for brand awareness and lead acquisition; support various teams with project development by writing and submitting RFPs; operate fluidly across marketing channels -- digital, collateral & content partnerships. Serve as point of contact for company-wide and consumer-facing events: collaborate with others to plan, coordinate, and manage, including oversight of vendors, managing shipments, and related administrative duties involving cross-team communication. Utilize the company's proprietary information for lead sourcing and lead development while interacting with multiple teams to track progress on returning and new sources of business. Coordinate meetings and presentations for internal & external communication; including campaign planning, program overviews, and competitive analysis. Research and write relevant content for social media: interview sources, write, edit, and post to various social media channels. Perform administrative tasks as needed and all other duties that are assigned.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or related degree 2-5 years of experience in marketing communications, social media marketing, and media or events planning

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.

The physical demands of this position are those associated with working in a typical office environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, talk, and hear. This role requires communicating verbally and in writing one on one, in small groups, as well as presenting to larger groups of employees.  This role requires the ability to work at a computer (reading and keying) for extended periods of time. The employee must move within the office to retrieve files and meet with employees in their offices or conference room. The employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally required to travel by car (as a passenger or driver) to job sites, or to attend Commercial department events/training.

While visiting field locations, the employee may be required to work outdoors, be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical and electrical parts; high, precarious places; dust, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, extended exposure to sunlight; cold and heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
