Marketing Copywriter (Remote)
Location: Bloomfield, ConnecticutJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $35 - 45 per hourWe're seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Marketing Copywriter to join our fast-paced, energetic team. This role offers exposure to a wide range of business functions and the opportunity to collaborate with peers and leaders. As a writer, you’ll craft clear, compelling content for social media, email, print, and web, while aligning with our brand voice. Responsibilities include ghostwriting social media posts, creating thought leadership content, developing custom communications for clients and brokers, and producing marketing materials. Strong editing and adherence to brand guidelines are key to success in this role.Responsibilities: Writer by trade - ability to create original, clear and compelling content for a variety of mediums, including social media (specifically LinkedIn posts and articles), email, print, and websites. Learn and apply the GHB voice/brand, our offerings and markets for use in copy. Ability to regularly ghostwrite multiple personalized social media posts for a group of our business's thought leaders on the same topic. Formulate (research and gather information for) long-form thought leadership content to be used within articles, whitepapers and webpages with valid sourcing compliant with legal requirements. Develop custom communications for brokers, clients, their employees and dependents to educate, inform, drive engagement and help them understand and utilize their benefits. Utilize knowledge of our brand and products to create marketing collateral content as requested (i.e. flyers, brochures, PowerPoint, etc.) Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required in marketing, communication or equivalent work experience. 3+ years in marketing, marketing communications, or comparable roles -- insurance or financial services experience a plus. Experience with execution of online campaigns and activities (social media, ads, web content, etc.) Creativity and focus - must be able to execute on ideas quickly with a variety of teams and resources within and outside of the organization. Ability to use short-form for specific campaigns, social posts and presentations. Self-starter that can work independently; resourceful and self-directed. Ability to juggle/manage multiple priorities concurrently is a must. Attention to detail; ability to multi-task; deadline driven. Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment with changing priorities and requirements. Strong relationship management skills and team player who can collaborate with internal and external partners. Ability to proofread and catch spelling, grammar and punctuation errors. Excellent written communication skills, research and information gathering skills, with the ability to write for multiple channels, including brochures, email, websites and social media.
