The team

Our Data Engineer Team is seeking a Marketing Data Engineer to join the team. You’ll contribute to building a robust marketing data lake, enabling data-driven decision-making and predictive analytics.

 

The role

Data Pipeline Development:

Construct and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Python (Jupyter Notebook) and SQL.

Data Modeling and Analysis:

Create data models, views, and ad-hoc queries to support operational reporting and predictive analytics.

Data Preparation and Cleaning:

Preprocess structured and unstructured data for machine learning and data mining tasks.

Data Visualization:

Develop insightful dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or R/Python.

Collaboration:

Partner with data scientists and business stakeholders to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights.

 

What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Required U.S. Citizen and/or Green Card Holder.  3-5 years’ experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, R/Python). 3-5 years’ experience knowledge of database systems, design and data lake concepts. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages. Familiarity with statistical and machine learning techniques and tools. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

3-5 years’ experience with data lakes. 3-5 years’ experience knowledge of big data technologies. 3-5 years’ experience partnering with data scientists.

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is:

 

Tier One Location (including New York City and California Bay Area): $86,000-$123,000

Tier Two Location (including Colorado, Seattle, and the rest of California): $75,000 - $107,000

Tier Three Location (including the rest of Washington State): $60,000 – $101,000

 

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara’s bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
