Overview Juncos Hollinger Racing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Marketing Director to join our team! Responsibilities Position Summary: The Marketing Director’s role comprises several responsibilities from Partnership Management, owning JHR’s CRM database, analyzing media metrics, managing JHR’s LinkedIn presence, full knowledge and understanding of the Branding strategy and implementation, managing the Marketing budget and owning the Crisis Management plan. Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities: 1) Partnership Management & Team Marketing: The Marketing Director is in charge of nurturing and maximizing the value of sponsorship partnerships. They play a pivotal role in fostering successful partnerships with sponsors and maintain ownership of JHR’s CRM platform. They combine relationship management skills with strategic thinking and analytical acumen to deliver value for sponsors, enhance the team's commercial performance, and strengthen its position in the competitive world of IndyCar. a. Marketing Campaigns: Leads the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns to promote the team, drivers, and sponsors. Campaigns may include digital marketing, social media activations, content creation, PR initiatives, and fan engagement activities. b. Sponsorship Activation: Works closely with sponsors to maximize their visibility and ROI through strategic activation plans. This involves leveraging sponsorships across various platforms, including on-track branding, digital channels, hospitality events, and promotional activities. c. Market Research and Analysis: Conducts market research, analyzes fan demographics, and monitors industry trends to inform marketing strategies and optimize outreach efforts. They use data-driven insights to refine marketing campaigns and maximize effectiveness. d. Partnership Development: Identifies and cultivates partnerships that align with the team's brand objectives and enhance its commercial value. This may involve negotiating new partnerships, managing existing relationships, and exploring collaboration opportunities with other entities in the motorsport industry. e. Relationship Management: Responsible for maintaining strong and productive relationships with sponsors. They act as the primary point of contact for sponsors, ensuring regular communication, addressing inquiries or issues, and proactively managing expectations. f. Contractual Fulfillment: Oversee the implementation and fulfillment of sponsorship agreements. This includes ensuring that sponsors receive the agreed-upon benefits such as branding on the car, driver apparel, team merchandise, hospitality opportunities, and digital exposure. g. Activation Planning: Develops and executes activation plans to leverage sponsorships effectively. This involves collaborating with internal teams (such as marketing, PR, and digital) to create engaging campaigns and activations that showcase sponsors' brands and achieve mutual marketing objectives. h. Sponsorship Renewals and Upselling: Identifies opportunities for sponsorship renewal and upselling. They analyze sponsor satisfaction, ROI metrics, and market trends to propose tailored sponsorship packages that align with sponsors' evolving marketing goals and budgets. i. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Tracks and analyzes the performance of sponsorship activations. They measure ROI, brand exposure metrics, and other key performance indicators to demonstrate the value delivered to sponsors and inform future strategies. j. Event Management: They ensure that sponsors receive memorable and exclusive experiences that strengthen their connection with the team and its stakeholders. This involves collaborating with internal team hospitality department. k. Brand Representation: Represents sponsors' interests within the team and ensures that their brand guidelines are adhered to in all promotional materials and communications. They act as a brand ambassador for sponsors, safeguarding their brand reputation and integrity. l. Budget and Resource Management: Manages budgets allocated for sponsor activations and hospitality programs. They optimize resource allocation to maximize the impact of sponsorship investments while maintaining financial discipline. This involves collaborating with internal team accountant department. m. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiates sponsorship agreements and contract renewals in collaboration with legal and commercial teams. They ensure that contracts are legally sound, clearly define rights and obligations, and protect the team's and sponsors' interests. n. Industry and Market Analysis: Stays informed about industry trends, competitor sponsorships, and market dynamics. They use market insights to identify emerging sponsorship opportunities, potential partnerships, and innovative activation strategies. 2) LinkedIn Content & Media Metrics The Marketing Director is responsible for enhancing the team’s online presence through LinkedIn, fostering community engagement, driving strategy growth and partnerships and maximizing brand awareness. They create unique and compelling content, foster relationships with followers and industry stakeholders on the platform all whilst leveraging the platform to enhance brand visibility, engage with fans and stakeholders, and support overall marketing and communication strategies. The Marketing Director also analyzes media metrics and utilizes data for reporting to assist in strategy decisions. a. Content Strategy and Creation: Develop and implement a content calendar aligned with the team’s overall marketing objectives. Create engaging and relevant content for LinkedIn posts, articles, and updates, including team news, driver insights, behind-the-scenes content, and sponsor highlights. Ensure all content reflects the team’s brand voice, values, and key messages. b. Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries from followers in a timely and professional manner. Proactively engage with LinkedIn users by initiating discussions, sharing insights, and participating in industry conversations. Foster relationships with fans, sponsors, media, and industry influencers through consistent and meaningful interactions. c. Campaign Management: Plan and execute LinkedIn campaigns to promote team events, sponsor activations, merchandise launches, and special initiatives. Monitor campaign performance, analyze metrics, and provide regular reports to assess effectiveness and make data-driven improvements. d. Networking and Relationship Building: Identify and connect with key stakeholders, industry leaders, and potential partners on LinkedIn to expand the team’s network and enhance visibility. Leverage LinkedIn for business development opportunities, including sponsorship inquiries, collaboration proposals, and media partnerships. e. Brand Management: Uphold brand consistency across all LinkedIn communications, ensuring all content and interactions reflect the team’s values and image. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities on LinkedIn to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation. f. Analytics and Reporting: Use LinkedIn Analytics and other tools to track performance metrics across JHR social platforms, including engagement rates, follower growth, reach, and conversion rates. Provide regular reports and insights on performance, trends, and recommendations for optimization. i. Gather and compile data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and relevance. ii. Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights as well as to verify accuracy of the data and report content. iii. Ensure reports are tailored to the audience’s needs, including stakeholders, management, or clients. 3) Branding The Marketing Director assists in developing and maintaining the team's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communications and activities. a. Brand Identity, Brand Manual and Brand Assets: They help maintain the team’s visual identity, including logos, colors, typography, and overall design language. b. Team Decals, Team Uniforms, Commercial Materials and Marketing Materials: They will enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistency in all team communications, merchandise, digital platforms, and sponsor activations as well as oversee the creation and production of marketing materials such as brochures, promotional videos, merchandise, and signage. c. Collaborating with Sponsors & Ensuring Brand Consistency: They will work closely with sponsors to integrate their branding effectively within the team’s brand framework while maintaining brand integrity. d. Brand Analysis and Strategy Development: They will monitor and analyze brand performance metrics, including brand awareness, perception, and engagement and use insights to refine branding strategies and foster a strong internal brand culture among team members, ensuring they understand and embody the brand values and mission. 4) Budget Management a. Manage the annual Marketing budgeting, gathering input and aligning financial plans with organizational goals. b. Monitor and report on department spend, identifying areas for cost savings and optimization. c. Analyze marketing performance data to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations. d. Identify Marketing and Sponsorship trends and recommending new tools or platforms that could enhance effectiveness. e. Continuously monitors budget performance, analyzing variances between actual spending and budgeted amounts. 5) Crisis Management a. Crisis Management: Involved in the team’s Crisis Management Plan and prepared to handle unexpected situations that could impact the team’s image or operations. 6) Other a. Other tasks as required by the Team Principal or their designee to support the business objectives. b. Travel to all season races, and any tests as determined necessary.
