The Resort, also known as Charleston’s Island Resort, is located just 30 minutes from the charm and grace of historic downtown Charleston; it is the largest resort of its kind in the region, offering accommodations for groups of up to 650 people and the chance for leisure guests to enjoy a Lowcountry getaway. Many publications and associations have distinguished the Resort as a top destination for families, golfers, tennis lovers, and meeting and event planners. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for managing the marketing strategy for the resort as a whole, including individual business segments and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns. This position will report directly to the Managing Director/General Manager. This highly-visible role helps nurture collaboration and alignment between key internal and external hotel stakeholder groups by developing and executing unified marketing strategies to build property and venue awareness and generate room revenue and market share. This position is vital in developing content for various mediums (print, digital, social, and more), managing reputation and social channels, and creating/supporting marketing, PR, media, and sales messaging while enhancing brand equity and community stature. Whether you are ready for this challenge, we are prepared for you, whether it’s career opportunities, job enrichment, or a supportive work environment. **DIRECT REPORTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Lead a team of four to execute strategies: Marketing Manager, Marketing Coordinator, Graphic Designer, and Social Coordinator. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Lead the development and delivery of the annual marketing and communications plan and budget aligned with the Resort's strategic priorities and revenue goals. + Develop and oversee the execution of marketing strategies that align with property goals and positioning to achieve topline revenue. + Partner with the property revenue team to make informed decisions and maximize revenue and room night goals. + Partner with the Resort team leaders to drive marketing strategies for Food & Beverage, Golf, Spa, Retail, Recreation, Weddings/Catering, Group Sales, and Tennis. + Prepare and manage the marketing expense budget's monthly forecasting and analyze the marketing efforts' overall effectiveness. + Lead weekly and monthly meetings with department heads across property and agency teams. + Manage and implement tactical promotions and offers to drive incremental revenue. + Oversee the management of all internal and external communications through a digital presence, including but not limited to property website, third-party channels, and social media, while maintaining brand integrity. + Orchestrate all property photography and video shoots. Arrange shot lists/schedules, property access, talent, etc. Support & maintain an extensive property photography library. + Responsible for workflow process improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across the Hyatt.com and Wilddunes.com vanity site functions. + Develop and implement marketing and public relations strategies to promote revenue growth among key targeted segments and support the Resort's brand positioning and image. + Develop and manage all CRM touchpoints, including outbound email marketing, guest journey, retention strategies, and new customer acquisition initiatives. + Manage the web and social media infrastructure and keep content fresh and engaging while advancing functionality and design. + Prepare monthly marketing reports for ownership. + Plan and manage print and digital advertising opportunities, both paid and unpaid. + Manage the Resort's reputation in the local community via PR and local community outreach, local partners, and promotional partnership opportunities. + Develop and set the annual digital marketing plan, overarching partnership, and marketing strategies to maximize hotel revenue production and align with hotel positioning. + Manage the OTA strategy with Revenue Management and Field Marketing through monthly market reviews and media investments. + Manage the strategy and agency partnership relationships with the Resort's Public Relations and Digital Agency. + Track campaign benchmarks and KPIs to ensure success and optimize campaigns as needed + Stay on top of industry trends to ensure properties are at the cutting edge of hospitality services. **Qualifications:** **QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE** + A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment + Refined verbal and written communication skills + Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including social media platforms + Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in a similar position + Someone with an entrepreneurial mindset that thrives in fast-paced environments + Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills **EDUCATION** + Bachelor’s Degree (associate's degree considered) in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field, or the same in experience. **EXPERIENCE** + Minimum 7 years of hotel marketing experience or industry experience; OR, an equivalent combination of education and work experience. **Primary Location:** US-SC-Isle of Palms **Organization:** Wild Dunes Resort **Pay Basis:** Yearly **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Administration **Req ID:** ISL001628 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
