We are seeking a **Marketing Intern** for the **2025-26 academic year** at the Barnes & Noble College retail store in **The Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore.** This position provides an outstanding opportunity to gain hands-on marketing experience in a dynamic retail setting. The intern will develop key skills in marketing analytics, content creation, branding, and human-centered design. Responsibilities include supporting a range of marketing initiatives aimed at promoting our bookstore and enriching the student experience. **How You'll Make an Impact** + **Digital and Print Content Creation:** Collaborate with the marketing team to plan, create, and execute engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) while maintaining a consistent online presence. + **On-Campus Student Experience:** Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and on-campus student engagement initiatives, including digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and event advertising, to enhance the overall student experience. + **Experiential Marketing Support:** Support the promotion of in-house events (e.g., book signings, author visits, and student discount programs) through web, email, digital advertising, and regional marketing strategies. + **Research and Analysis:** Under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, conduct research and analyze marketing strategies and trends relevant to the bookstore retail industry, destination retail environments, experiential branding, or a combination of these topics. + **Proposal Development:** With direction from the Marketing Manager, draft and develop a comprehensive proposal outlining an optimized marketing strategy and its potential impact on the bookstore’s brand and consumer engagement. + **Collaboration:** Work closely with the marketing team to ensure the project aligns with the bookstore’s overall marketing objectives. + Additional responsibilities as required. **What You'll Need to Succeed** + **Must be a current undergraduate student at the University of Notre Dame,** pursuing a degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field. + Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content for different platforms. + Proficient in social media management and knowledgeable about current digital marketing trends. + Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines. + Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. + Familiarity with design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus. + Prior marketing or retail experience is desirable, but not required. **How We Elevate Our Employees** The hiring rate for this position is $15 per hour. This is a part-time position requiring 15-20 hours per week with an on-site work structure.
