Position Title: Marketing Intern
Location: Mindelo, Portugal
Position Overview
The Marketing Intern will be part of our Rigid Packaging Adhesives Product Management and Marketing (PM&M) team and will be based at H.B. Fuller’s Mindelo site, reporting to the Rigid Packaging Marketing & Communications Specialist.
The Rigid Packaging PM&M team is responsible for market research and voice of customer, product line segmentation strategies, development of content for demand generation and customer e-learning, new product development and commercialization, brand management and strategy, live and virtual event management, and execution and measurement of marketing communication plans.
Primary Duties
While working through the assigned projects, the Marketing Intern will partner with the Marketing&Communication team and global marketing managers. The intern will demonstrate project management skills, learn how different functions collaborate to help drive growth opportunities in the market, develop relationships, think strategically and creatively, request and give feedback. The types of projects the intern will be working on are as follows:
Assist in creating visually appealing designs for digital and print media, including social media posts, website graphics, marketing materials, and presentations.
Design large-format graphics for trade show booths, banners, and similar projects.
Collaborate with the Marketing&Communication team members and global Marketing Managers to conceptualize and execute design projects.
Support the development of brand assets such as logos, icons, and infographics.
Edit and refine designs based on feedback and ensure timely delivery.
Stay updated on design trends, tools, and techniques.
Perform daily administrative activities.
Minimum Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent tools.
Strong portfolio showcasing creative and diverse design work.
Excellent Portuguese and English skills with demonstration of excellent oral, writing, editing, presentation, digital and multimedia skills.
Basic understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
Experience with motion graphics or video editing tools like Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro.
Must be detailed-oriented, and able to be a self-starter in order to complete projects
Demonstrates proficiency in the following competencies: Responsive to change, demonstrates effective self-management and accountable for results, models collaboration and commitment, demonstrates operational excellence.
Preferred Requirements
Knowledge of tools like Canva, Figma or Sketch (not mandatory)
Illustration or digital painting skills (not mandatory)
