Core responsibilities include:
Works from concept to completion on a variety of projects, managing your own timeCollaborates with the marketing team (Sr. Associate Director, Communications Manager, Web Manager & fellow interns) to keep projects on trackDepending on the candidates experience, projects will be assigned from the following categories:Content creation— Research and write articles to be published on the iii’s website and used in recruiting and marketing effortsWebsite support— Work directly in the CMS to update website content, build pagesSocial media— Collaborate closely with iii Communications Manager to support strategic social media initiatives and day to day social media scheduling and community managementSwag— Source and design swag for upcoming events (orientation, conferences, appreciation gifts, etc.)SEO— Complete keyword research, analyze metrics such as search volume, improve visibility of the iii website by identifying and filling content gapsAdaptability, excellence, and passion are vital qualities within Carnegie Mellon University. We are in search of a team member who can effectively interact with a varied population of internal and external partners at a high level of integrity. Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, marketing, design, or related fieldPrior experience with content management systems (WordPress, Cascade Drupal, etc.) preferredHigh level of accountability and ability to work independentlyExperience in Adobe Creative Suite preferredA combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be consideredAdditional Details:
