Marketing Leader and Commercial Excellence- India

Job Summary:

If you are an experienced marketing professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Mumbai location and candidates from other locations can also apply provided they are ready for an extensive travel. You will partner with marketing, sales, and business unit teams across India to define and complete marketing initiatives that support the growth of Emerson’s automation and software portfolio. You will be required to drive marketing strategy, communications, and promotional programs to enhance brand awareness, develop customer loyalty, drive demand, and support overall business objectives.
 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

As India Enterprise Marketing Leader, You Will Focus On

MARKETING STRATEGY AND PLANNING

Work with country leadership team and APAC marketing team to supervise development of India strategic marketing plan. Engage with country leaders to define short and long-term aspirations and performance markers. Be responsible for all marketing projects and activities to ensure they stay on track and on budget. Lead the execution of agreed-upon marketing plans and campaigns from concept to final analysis. Conduct regular meetings with leadership team to report status on all marketing-related activities and how they perform in relation to overall company goals.

PRODUCT AND INDUSTRY MARKETING

Develop and complete marketing strategic plan to grow our business in key industry segments and sustainability areas, including but not limited to themes such as hydrogen, energy & emissions, carbon capture, biofuels, circular plastics, etc. Generate creative marketing strategies to promote sustainability and digital transformation offerings in all media including, but not limited to advertising, public relations, events, social media, and digital marketing. Measure and improve marketing program effectiveness by collecting performance data, analyzing results, reporting findings, and driving continuous improvement efforts. Lead the development of marketing assets (such as press releases and case studies) that consistently and clearly articulate the benefits of Emerson’s solutions in all medias. 

SALES ENABLEMENT AND LEAD MANAGEMENT

Drive creative design and coordinate campaign results with internal and external resources to support the brand. Work with Sales team on lead management activities resulting from marketing activities. Build a clean contact database for India customer contacts to facilitate customer engagement with personalized and significant communication at scale.

MANAGEMENT REVIEW AND COMMUNICATIONS

Support various management reviews and internal events with Emerson’s global leadership team. Lead external vendors and PR agencies (if needed) to deliver on various projects and events.

COMMERCIAL EXCELLENCE

In addition to the Marketing responsibilities, this role will be expected to work on commercial excellence responsibilities and will currently report into the India commercial excellence leader.

 Sales – Tools, Productivity & Channel

Complete the strategic roadmap for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and provide significant impact on sales efficiencies. Be the vehicle of ‘change’. Implement the CRM Business Impact changes and manage the cultural change, which is expected during implementation of CRM, within the Sales Organization Be instrumental in developing the gold standard in Sales Processes using CRM and implement it across Businesses. Interact significantly with Sales Engineers and Sales Management Teams in promoting the value of CRM. Successfully achieve Sales Efficiency goals by implementing CRM. Be part of Customer Segmentation initiative and delivery of Sales Tools initiative using CRM as a vehicle of choice Will become part of the AP Digital Sales organization and ensure that India requirements are adequately represented and prioritized in Asia Pacific digital decision-making process. Help with sales channel analysis and implement the channel strategy using the tools for analysis and governance. Overall Lead India channel implementation strategies. Drive the regionalization 3.0 program along with regional heads to expand regional reach.

 

Digital customer experience

Drive Emerson.com and MyEmerson adoption and utilization of its features among end customers through campaigns and familiarization Understand the workstreams of the different elements of Emerson.com and MyEmerson and be able to strategize for deployment across the country. Define and develop an e-Commerce strategy for India and align with Asia Pacific Initiatives to drive incremental sales.

   For This Role, You Will Need: Equivalent education in a marketing, engineering, and/or business-related field. A minimum of 15 years of relevant marketing leadership experience. Proven success building and using a brand or specific product/service category demonstrating improvements or growth in market share, revenue, or profitability. Analytical problem solver with excellent project management and prioritization skills; well-organized and detail oriented. Understanding of various marketing subject areas, integrated marketing, communications & media relations, sales enablement, and digital marketing. Excels at self-managing workload and driving multiple concurrent projects to meet targets. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with ability to lead colleagues by influence (often virtually), and comfortably engage with customers at decision-making levels. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization to meet landmarks. Ability to deal with conflicting priorities from internal team members and demonstrate resilience and strong influencing skills to manage these effectively. Confidence and interpersonal/communication to work and influence at all levels.  Experience of working in matrix organization  Highly adept at partner management and relationship building. Open to travel extensively.
  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Business administration with 15 years related marketing experience. Proven success leading marketing function for a B2B company, preferably targeting industrial manufacturing audiences at both plant and executive levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, CRM, and marketing automation applications (such as Eloqua) Project Management training and certification (such as PMP) Experience with online advertising - Google AdWords, LinkedIn Ads, etc.
