**The Opportunity**
We’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key health and therapeutic areas, including Chemistry, Electrolytes, Hematology, Blood Gases, Coagulation, Endocrinology, Cardiac Markers, Neurology, and Informatics. This position works out of Mississauga office and supports the Point of Care, Diagnostics division. As a Marketing Manager you will develop and execute on the marketing plan for the point of care products in Canada. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and implementation of tactical sales strategies and sales support which includes creating, supporting, and executing strategic plans as well as follow up tactics, supporting products, launch plans / execution of new products and programs development to accelerate profitable product sales growth. The focus is to achieve market share optimization and profitable industry or product segment sales growth. You will work to ensure programs are aligned with key company strategies and objectives.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Lead all marketing activities associated with POC product lines or businesses.
+ Obtain and analyze market segmentation data – develop and execute strategies and programs based on market segmentation for the i-Stat products.
+ Strategic planning and tactical execution of product specific strategy, new product launches and marketing/sales plans to achieve sales growth and margin objectives.
+ Collaborate and support Point of Care commercial teams to grow sales of all Point of Care Division products in targeted industry segment(s) or for specific assigned product (s) segments nationwide. Tasks can include creating/executing tactical initiatives, field travel, Trade show and conference management, tender responses and support field sales and implementation activities.
+ Assist field visits to determine customer dynamics, drivers, current and future customer needs, opportunities, and to recognize specific geographical considerations for both products and programs. KOL engagement planning and execution to develop KOL’s to support Canadian market segment businesses.
+ Development and execution of tactical lead generation programs and promotions in Canada, including of strategic promotional activities, in order to build opportunity pipeline.
+ Develop presentations and marketing assets that are OEC compliant – manage appropriate process for marketing approvals; assets should be bilingual in French and English.
+ Drive competitor, product and market-specific Canadian competitive intelligence gathering and evaluation activity. Develop presentations for executives to demonstrate Canadian market segmentation for POC and supportive modelling to track progress through KPI’s.
+ Support future product and program development activities by evaluating customer needs and assembling business plans.
+ Execute marketing initiatives in conjunction with sales teams.
+ Assist with the delivering training programs for assigned product line.
+ Deliver online, web casts, e-newsletters, web conferencing training in collaboration with marketing department.
+ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives, including but not limited to field sales force, R&D, legal, regulatory, and medical affairs, manufacturing, logistics, public affairs, marketing team, executive management, creative and media agencies, vendors, retail buyers, and health care professionals.
**Required Qualifications**
+ BA, BSc or equivalent in the areas of marketing, science, nursing and/or Master of Business Administration.
+ 5-7 years of experience with progressive responsibility in brand / product management in health care/OTC marketing.
+ Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic business plans.
+ Exposure of medical device marketing, sales, strategic planning, retail sales force and distributor channel, coupled with a proven, professional approach.
+ Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills.
+ Experience and proficiency with P&L / budget management.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Bilingual English and French is preferred.
+ Ability to travel an average of 30-40%, domestic and international travel.
