Marketing Manager

This venue marketing manager role will be based in the London Topgolf office and oversee marketing and communication for Topgolf U.K. venues in London and Glasgow, supporting identified priorities of driving traffic and brand reputation/awareness at the local level.  This person will use their presence and understanding of the UK market to further support the growth of the Topgolf venues in the UK. This position will require a strong understand of marketing tactics and will work closely with both U.S. Venue Marketing team for shared best practices, the Topgolf creative team for brand-approved assets, and local activation agency partners for localized support.  In addition, this position will work cross functionally, particularly with the venue operations teams, to ensure achievement against visit and sales goals.  

Job Responsibilities

Successfully support corporate-driven venue marketing initiatives, using effective communication, proactivity, an understanding of Topgolf brand goals and priorities, and collaborative Agency support (PR, Media, and Creative) to ensure programs and assets are localized and successful. Effectively report against set KPIs to determine success or necessary improvement.

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that brand standards are maintained across all UK venues with all Player-facing signage and branded spaces working closely with Operations, Food & Beverage, and Event Sales teams.

Partner with the Director of Operations to develop and support local market promotional opportunities and internal communications.

Field and research in-market engagement opportunities that effectively support the venues within their home markets; using creativity, initiative and an understanding of the market, our players and goals to ensure successful.

Manage Social media accounts including content creation, production needs, and content creator relationships to support communication strategy.

Critical Skills & Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

5+ years - Development and implementation of local marketing strategies to drive sales-oriented results

3+ years - Ability to work autonomously and proactively to successfully complete projects under time pressure; meeting deadlines consistently and reliably

1+ years - Work in a multi-unit environment

1+ years - Drive cross-functional facilitation in a matrixed organization

1+ years - Reviewing insights and leveraging data to develop performance plans

1+ years - Social media content strategy and management

Organizational Savvy; Interfaces with differing groups across the organization to achieve individual or collective goals and the ability to adapt in a frequently changing environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills; listens attentively and communicates information clearly and succinctly

Results Oriented; passionate about achieving challenging goals and creating successful outcomes

Creative Solutionist; The ability to both think and do, looks at problems or situations from a fresh perspective and comes up with new, unique solutions

Proactivity; takes initiative and has the ability to move projects forward without the need of micromanagement by others

Strong Business Judgment; Can work independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.  Balances intuition and analytics to make best business-first decisions

Effective Time Management; ability to successfully manage various tasks and projects simultaneously

Knowledge of current trends and cultural moments on social media and the local market

This person will be based in London, but will need to regularly travel to the Glasgow venue as needed - 25%
