OVERVIEW:
Leads brand marketing efforts for the Marathon and ARCO retail brands, guiding a team of Brand Marketing Specialists in developing advertising campaigns and marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness and strengthen brand equity. Responsibilities include overseeing media planning, creative development, promotions, market research, and customer support programs to ensure cohesive, impactful marketing strategies that align with company objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops strategies for the successful implementation of market offerings and programs to drive consumer and B2B demand for our retail brands. Ensures organizational goals and objectives of direct reports are aligned with these strategies.Communicates to internal and external stakeholders the advertising and brand management vision, strategies, and tactics as necessary to ensure alignment with overall brand marketing objectives.Develops advertising channel, media, and creative strategies to align with overall objectives to build awareness and impact consumer/customer perception of our brands while optimizing reach and effectiveness across digital, social, and traditional platforms. Oversees the development and execution of advertising campaigns that promote brand awareness and engage target audiences. Collaborates with internal and external teams to ensure seamless media execution and track performance metrics.Advises management on matters impacting retail brand perception and brand health, and directs analyses as required to provide such advice. Leads efforts in market research, analyzing trends, consumer preferences, and competitive insights. Leverages research findings to inform marketing strategies, optimize campaigns, and identify growth opportunities.Oversees brand communication for all channels (B2C, B2B, and internal). Ensures brand messaging maintains a consistent voice in all communications, marketing tactics, and campaigns. Governs social channels through a social management platform. Regularly communicates brand news, alerts, and campaigns through standardized procedures through Salesforce.Manages program budgets, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to maximize impact and return on investment. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards.Manages relationships with advertising agencies and other core advertising and promotional partnerships. Collaborate with other support departments including Retail Payments, Brand Programs, Loyalty, and Innovation to ensure alignment with overall brand objectives. Manages legal inquiries regarding policies and practices as inquiries occur.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field requiredEight (8) years of brand marketing, program management, or related experience requiredThree (3) years of experience in marketing, with a focus on brand development, advertising, and media planning preferredLeadership and energy industry experience strongly preferredAs an energy industry leader, our career opportunities fuel personal and professional growth.
