We’re a thriving and growing organization which offers you many possibilities to shape a better world, and your future. **About the position:** We are currently seeking a **Marketing Manager** to join our growing Energy, Water and Resources (EWR) portfolio in Arup’s West Geography. This is a strategic role with responsibility for proposal direction and content; communication of Arup’s values in the creation, organization, and maintenance of water and energy-related marketing collateral; and contribution to a variety of marketing activities. The candidate is expected to provide direction on the most impactful way to communicate our value, be it through presentations, client meetings and proposals. **Our Water/Energy Marketing Manager can be based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland or Seattle office.** **The opportunity:** + Proactively connect and coordinate with the key EWR leaders to create a cohesive and consistent approach to our marketing activities in Water and Energy and setting short- term and long- term goals. + Facilitate and participate in capture planning strategy sessions and assist in client and market focused research activities. + Guide the development and execution of go/no-go decision-making. + Support the Business Leaders with the development of client engagement strategies, including client meetings and workshops, the development of client plans and industry events. + Work closely with leadership to develop client-focused win strategies for proposals and statements of qualifications to successfully capture work. + Lead the preparation of competitive proposals, qualification packages and interview presentations with support from junior team members. + Lead and maintain marketing assets and provide feedback and actively engage in improving our marketing content. + Take ownership of new marketing content including presentations, brochures and project case studies to support the water / energy businesses and their key emerging themes. + Work with our global EWR marketing teams to bring the best of our global experience to our local clients. + Lead pre-interview planning and presentation rehearsal and help develop and apply the established win strategy, themes, and discriminators in presentation materials. + Oversight of marketing materials, the water business pipeline in CRM, and industry conferences and events, including planning and strategy for attendance. + Mentor Marketing Coordinators and Marketing Assistants in client engagement strategies, pursuits, interviews, and key marketing processes. + Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills. **Is this role right for you?** + Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in English, Communications, or Marketing required. + Experience and knowledge of either the water or renewable energy sector in the US is a plus, or willing to learn. + Minimum 7+ years of experience in the AEC industry. + Experience with large-scale prime proposals. + Experience developing market-facing capabilities brochures. + Experience working with water municipal agencies. + Confident, self-motivated, and proactive professional with the ability to work independently. Must possess a dynamic and positive demeanor, along with a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. + Experienced in the following computer applications: Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. + Involvement with local water or energy organizations a plus. + Interest in external business development activities a plus. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary.
