Development and delivery of strategic marketing & customer planning capability
Work in close collaboration with Marketing & Design and functional colleagues to assist in the development of both short and mid-term marketing strategy to support commercial and customer aspirations, including the delivery of the annual marketing and integrated communications plan.Lead on Marketing input to the BUK MTP and STP planning process, including all quarterly rolling planningLead on Marketing measurement and reporting into Finance, BUK ExCo and wider product and segment forums Partner closely with Insights and Analytical teams to ensure robust interpretation and actionable plans are formed around relevant data/insights analysis to assist in the marketing strategy creationOversee and develop the Marketing planning capability and output Own and optimise the aggregated BUK Marketing rolling planning process, working in a collaborative manner with the relevant departments in the wider BUK Marketing function, to provide a well manged and effective planDefine and lead our investment optimisation process – overseeing the Quarterly review of the plan as well as Mid-Term Plan (MTP) developmentKeep our BUK Head of Marketing & Design and Senior Marketing stakeholders engaged at key points of the delivery cycle – both for our annual Mid-Term Plan as well as during Quarterly Planning cyclesOversee cost management and cost optimisation processes, to ensure we are delivering the optimum plan and contributing to the overall BUK cost objectiveWork in an agile way, utilising Marketing platforms such as Workfront to maintain an effective view on demand and resourceDefine and lead the team-wide operating model required to execute our marketing strategy and planOversee the supplier management governance procedures as set out by group, ensuring Marketing & Design supplier relationships meet the required standardsPurpose of the role

Development and implementation of marketing strategies and delivery that aligns with the banks business objectives and are informed by market research, customer needs and competitive landscape.Collaboration with product development, sales, and other departments to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives, to achieve specific, well defined outcomes, as needed.Development of compelling and targeted content for various marketing channels, including print, media and related collateral, if needed.Analysis of data to make informed decisions and optimize marketing strategies, use of data analytics tools to measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns.Management of the marketing budget, allocating resources to maximise ROI.Defines marketing vision, sets goals, clarifies objectives and works across organisations to achieve specific, well defined outcomes.Director Expectations
