Job Description

To provide strategic partnership to the Direct Axis and Retail Loans business as well as multiple marketing leads across Personal and Private segments by assessing business needs, offering marketing solutions, advising and directing the input into the development of relevant marketing activities or strategic initiatives in line with the business strategic direction through the marketing value chain (consulting, programme leadership, strategic solutioning, development, execution and reporting and measurement)

Job Description

Oversee marketing execution and development of initiatives focused on driving business growthDevelop integrated frameworks, guidelines and optimisation plans to drive customer acquisition, retention, profitability and economic value addDrive business through lead generation and revenue initiatives.Work closely with sales/growth teams to understand needs, and relevant marketing responses.Ensure that sales strategies are aligned across customer value propositionActively pursue opportunities that may increase acquisition and improve customer retentionEnsure financial strategies and processes are consistent with the objectives of the GroupBalance immediate value against long term sustainability and local and global considerationsInfluence and align strategic intent and delivery to add value for customers and shareholders. Apply a customer-centric approach that focuses on creating a positive experience for the customer by maximizing service and/or product offerings and building relationships.Ensure that the customer is at the centre of the business philosophy, operations and ideasEngage with relevant leaders to collaterally and proactively manage the requirements of relevant function or businessCollaborate and contribute to value adding activities for the Retail Loans and DirectAxis  business units through functional knowledge and leadership.Drive strategic relationships to collaterally make sense of the ambiguity and uncertainty inherent to the organisationCreate alignment, collaboration and synergy between the various specialist areas, across business and within marketing, to provide a comprehensive marketing led solution to customersBalance interests of a variety of clients, readily readjusting priorities to respond to pressing and changing client demandsMaintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and FirstRand internal compliance procedures and requirementsEnsure compliance is adopted in terms of systems and procedures as laid out by GroupManage a control framework to ensure the integrity of operations and practices across marketing executionExecute relevant business initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progressMaintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provide of advice to relevant stakeholdersEnsure regular audits and surveys are done to measure and track business performance against financial goals. Manage performance of teams in areas of responsibility against expected delivery targetsEnsure alignment of team and individual performance objectives to relevant business area objectivesPartner with Marketing Lead to drive and monitor corrective actions to ensure maximisation of team performanceDrive performance management processes within agreed timelinesDrive Talent Management practices in area of accountability

Education and Experience

Grade 12Degree in Marketing or Related Qualification3 - 5 Years of Experiences in the fieldsExperience in Direct-to-Consumer MarketingAnalytical skills and ability to use data to drive and inform decision makingCommunication and collaboration skills to work with cross functional teamsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously

This position will be based either in Johannesburg of Cape Town
