Marketing Project Manager (consultant)
We're looking for a driven and versatile Marketing Project Manager to facilitate the launch of an exciting new SEGA game. This is a fixed-term, 6-month opportunity for a consultant/freelancer with the possibility to continue. Working closely together with the Marketing Lead of Beacon Growth, you manage fruitful and high-impact teamwork and the long term development of modern growth team working methods. This team is exceptional in Rovio as it works closely together with a large game development team in Sega Japan. 
You will contribute to the development and constant maintenance of the games’ GTM (go-to-market) plan as well as its LiveOps marketing plans. You oversee and facilitate the successful execution of these together with the team’s Craft Leads and key bridge personnel from Sega of Japan. Your work helps maintain smooth teamwork and paves way for more agile ways of working in a cross-company and cross-continental environment in the long term. You’ll be part of a multi-talented growth marketing team driving marketing for SEGA titles in the Western hemisphere.You will have impact and fun at work by doing:Together with Marketing Lead, and using software like Excel, Asana, Google Slides, Google Sheets and Powerpoint, plan, execute and maintain the team management framework that facilitates us delivering marketing projects on time and within budgetClosely communicate and collaborate with Rovio, Sega and external stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and decision making, facilitating alignment between crafts. Communication happens both on-site and remotely using Teams and Google, as well as Teams and Slack project channels and groups.Timeline and documentation management: Manage project schedules and deliverables, maintain good order of documentation across Rovio’s and Rovio/Sega shared ecosystems, identify optimal ways of using resources.Process Improvement: In the medium to long term, streamline inter-team workflows for better efficiency and work distribution between Rovio and Sega teams and within the Rovio team.Manage various development and marketing projects independently
Experience and skills we are looking for:Project Management: Strong organizing and planning ability, natural curiosity to improve team synergiesPatient and respectful communicator: You will be working in a team with both European and Japanese working culturesPeople skills and resilience: ability to get individuals to work well together as a team, across crafts and groupsMarketing knowledge: Basic understanding of marketing documentation, strategy and goal settingProblem solving: Adaptiveness to changes, cultural challenges, differing best practices and issues arising from lack of clarity or from impartial situational awarenessIt would be nice if you also have the following skills:Basic level knowledge of Japanese language and/or working cultureExperience in making excel timelines / production plans, Asana / Gantt timelines or similar tracking sheetsBasic experience in Photoshop or similar image editing softwareMore than looking for fast solutions, willingness to contribute to the team’s success in the long termExperience working with game projectsOur preference is that the person would work closely with us at our Rovio HQ in Espoo, Finland for a few days a week. We appreciate the possibility to take business trips to Sega in Japan as well if required.
