Purpose:
In this position, the Marketing Project Specialist will support the Marketing team in managing active projects and the pipeline of new requests across all channels. the Marketing Project Specialist will be working closely several functional areas of the business as well as the creative team to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include evaluating briefs and requests, resource planning, establishing project timelines and workflows, and communicating project plan updates as well monitoring and ensuring the proper execution of those plans.
To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in project management and the ability to interpret creative and strategic briefs, identify areas for process improvement, and coordinate with cross discipline team members.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
3+ years of experience managing print and digital projects for a marketing agency or organizationBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or applicable work experienceKnowledge of project management systems required, Workfront experience strongly preferredStrong attention to detail, methodical, organized, and process-orientedAbility to communicate with authority and tact while also knowing when to escalateProficient in MS Office, advanced Excel skills preferredAdaptable to change in a fast-paced work environmentEssential Job Functions:
Work cross-functionally with assigned focus areas in the company to understand their initiatives and plan marketing resources accordinglyDevelop a solid understanding of channel needs to properly inform creative execution as neededEnsure incoming requests have adequate information and specifications needed to plan and manage the projectTrack and escalate projects that are at risk of missing deadlines, working with stakeholders to set revised schedulesProblem-solve to ensure smooth project process and resolve schedule conflictsRun internal status and resourcing meetings, learning details of available resources autonomously in between meetingsDemonstrate excellent communication skills in collaboration with team members from multiple disciplines and provide details required for a specific audience, including clear expectations and relevant implications (i.e. timing, resources, etc.)Provide project updates on a consistent basis to stakeholders about progress, adjustments, roadblocks, etc.Manage and report on creative resource needs for specific focus areasPHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
