Marketing Promotions Specialist
Support Center - Irving

The Marketing Promotions Specialist assists the Marketing Promotions team in planning, directing, and evaluating consumer centric marketing initiatives aligned with the company goals. This individual will provide integral program coordination between all Michaels marketing components to create seamless program presentation to the consumer. This Team Member will work closely with Creative Services, Merchandising, Email, Digital, Social, Pricing, and Store Operations teams to ensure timely program success.

Major Activities

Build and manage relationships between the Marketing Channels, Merchandising Partners, and Pricing to accomplish company goals.Lead weekly Turn-In Meetings for US and Canada per the assigned categories. (Product and financial challenges, product turn-in, photography, copy, etc.)Manage Pricing, Promotion & Analytics (PPA) templates, and fact sheets for both US and Canada events.  These events must remain accurate regardless of the level of change that occurs.Process changes/updates to all weekly events through their release.Stay abreast of any/all tech changes that occur.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degreeJournalism, Communication, Marketing, or related field

Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Minimum Type of experience the job requires

3+ years of marketing experience
