With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.We are seeking an experienced Marketing Pursuit Director to lead proposal strategy and marketing efforts for some of the West Division’s largest and most complex pursuits. In this role you will provide strategic direction and guidance to multidisciplined pursuit teams in developing thoughtful, strategic responses. You will partner with division leadership, and regional and national Sales champions to drive the execution of successful pursuit strategies that position HNTB for success.
What You'll Do:
Responsible for leading the proposal activities and marketing efforts for a division’s super mega or complex mega projects.May oversee a group of pursuits led by other marketing staff as well as have a primary leadership focus on a specific, high-level, strategic client or initiative. Leads, participates or facilitates strategy sessions, war rooms and workshops to develop pursuit strategy that is targeted to client needs, and ensures the greatest possibility of success by supporting compliance, readability, and sales messaging of pursuit related materials. This includes driving the established agenda, guiding a creative brainstorming process, challenging and testing ideas, developing pertinent action items and assignments, and documenting the intelligence and outcomes of the sessions.Collaborates with pursuit champions and marketing lead to organize and determine objectives of strategy sessions, war rooms and workshops in accordance with the SSA. This includes identifying and engaging local and national resources necessary to support the win planning process.Serves as a divisional advocate to pursuits and partners with the local office to support the discovery process, developing and delivering resources to execute a relationship strategy that will discover client values and needs.Partners with division leadership and local office to develop and implement differentiators, value propositions, key messages, project approaches, and successful procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field and 10 years relevant experience, orIn lieu of degree, 14 years of relevant experienceWhat You'll Bring:
Demonstrated experience working with pursuit teams to research and develop actionable win strategies and graphics that address client needs and meet strategic goals.
A collaborative approach to facilitation of discovery and strategy meetings/workshops, and presentation/interview coaching.
Persuasive writing and editing skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications-related software programs.
What We Prefer:
Knowledge of AEC industry, terms, and definitions highly desired
Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Knowledge and/or familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms
Excellent verbal and written communications capabilities
Proficiency in common grammar, punctuation, proofing and business writing
Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams toward a positive outcome
Ability to demonstrate strong leadership in the execution and implementation of processes and procedures working with senior office and division leadership as well as national subject matter experts

The approximate pay range for Los Angeles Metro Area and Orange County, CA is $168,853.83 - $269,727.55. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state..
The approximate pay range for the California San Francisco Bay Area is $183,536.78 - $293,182.12. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
