An exciting opportunity awaits a business development professional to lead, develop, and coordinate marketing efforts in a team-oriented environment. The Marketing Services Manager works with our Idaho Business Development Leader (BDL) to provide strategic support for business group business development and client service managers, pursuits, and external marketing, including trade events. Marketing coordination and proposal management are critical components of HDR’s business development program. This role will be a highly effective partner to our marketing and engineering staff, including the BDL, business development managers (BDMs), client managers, project managers, and marketing coordinators.

In this role, we'll count on you to:

Support pursuit teams in creating and implementing effective win strategies (capture planning)Facilitate pursuit teams to develop persuasive proposals and interview materialsDevelop and manage proposal schedules and confirm complianceEngage the appropriate marketing services resources in pursuit teamsLead quality reviews of proposal and interview materialsFacilitate debriefs to identify improvement opportunities and to measure overall competitivenessDeconstruct and file proposal and presentation material upon submittalTrain and mentor employees on business development and marketing best practicesArticulate HDR’s capabilities and competitive advantagesLead pursuit teams in creating and implementing effective win strategies (capture planning)Engage the appropriate project management and technical talent in pursuit teamsDevelop business relationships with teaming partnersCoach interview teams to be effective at delivering key messages during interview presentationsMaintain a strong understanding of the market trends and drivers impacting our clientsActively participate in professional associations to elevate HDR’s brand in target marketsCollaborate with the client managers to develop effective client management plans.Maintain inventory of branded materials used for client visits, conferences and recruiting activities.Plan and fulfill conference sponsorship benefits as needed.Manage workload demands of marketing coordinators.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, engineering, or related field.Ability to develop winning attributes and messaging, technical writing, capture plans, and client management plans.Ability to envision and create highly graphical and compelling content for qualifications, proposals, and presentations.Collaborative initiative-taker who is adaptable and flexible to create partnerships with a broad array of team members (with varying skill levels, personalities, experience, and marketing acumen).Experienced in the management of diverse teams and able to work cooperatively with regional and national marketing staff.Ability to manage multiple tasks, teams, and deadlines. Ability to make independent decisions.Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry’s standard approach to procurement of professional servicesRequired Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience Demonstrated "self-starter" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign
