Summary:
The Marketing & Social Media Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the organization's marketing and communications efforts. This role focuses on driving social media engagement to achieve company goals, creating and managing marketing materials to educate and support the sales team, and coordinating events. The individual in this position possesses strong skills in content creation, graphic design, and digital marketing, combined with a collaborative mindset and excellent organizational abilities.
Principal Accountabilities:
Marketing & Content Creation:
+ Develop and edit marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, press releases, signage, and EDMs (Electronic Direct Mail).
+ Write and proofread social media campaigns, newsletters, trade show promotions, and technical articles.
+ Ensure consistency and continuity of materials on the company website and social media platforms.
Social Media Management:
+ Plan, create, and schedule engaging content (text, images, videos) across platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and others.
+ Monitor community interactions and respond to comments and messages to foster engagement.
+ Track performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve strategies.
+ Stay updated on social media trends and best practices, recommending new tactics as appropriate.
Graphic Design & Multimedia:
+ Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) to design marketing assets.
+ Create and edit PowerPoint presentations with advanced features (e.g., layering, animations).
+ Assist with the planning and execution of in-house photo and video shoots.
+ Assist in the design of visual elements like logos, templates, and backgrounds.
+ Event Coordination:
+ Assist in organizing trade shows, sales meetings, and other corporate events.
+ Collaborate with external vendors and trade media to execute marketing initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
+ 2+ years of experience in marketing, social media, or content creation.
+ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint.
+ Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
+ Experience with social media management tools and analytics.
+ Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Preferred Skills
+ Knowledge of digital marketing trends and practices.
+ Familiarity with video production and editing tools.
+ Creative, ability to think outside of the box
+ Detailed-oriented, self-directed
Physical Demands:
· Requires the ability to use a computer on a frequent basis.
· May remain stationary for extended periods but needs to be mobile enough to navigate through work areas.

Target Annual Pay Rate: $60,500 - $65,000 + Robust Benefits
