What you’ll Do:
The marketing specialist will be responsible for supporting Americold’s marketing activities, including: coordination of marketing content/campaigns, management of marketing calendars/plans/budget, and support of tradeshows and other marketing-led events.
Marketing content development and management: write and/or design marketing collateral using existing templates: marketing flyers, presentations, blog posts, social media posts, and internal resources. Marketing plan execution/project management: support the senior manager and director in building an annual marketing plan; manage the marketing activity calendar and update as needed; oversee specific marketing campaigns. Operations and technology: manage budget tracking and vendor invoicing processes. Own and maintain some technology platforms to manage marketing activity. Create and deliver reporting on key department metrics. Identify and implement improvements to marketing technology stack as needed. Event support: support marketing events such as tradeshows, customer engagement events, and development events by developing marketing collateral or giveaways to support the events, managing project plans, and overseeing smaller events. Other duties as assigned: include but are not limited to digital asset management, corporate merchandise planning, holiday cards/gifts, budget tracking, and planning team building activities.What Experience and Education You Need:
Bachelor’s degree plus 1-2 years of experience in marketing, brand management, or communications (experience can include internships, part-time roles, or relevant case study-based coursework). Strong project management/organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including copywriting. Technical/software skills: MS office, including Teams. Strong knowledge of presentation programs (PowerPoint, Google slides). Experience in design software (Canva, Photoshop, InDesign) and exposure to marketing technology (email platforms, content management systems, Salesforce) a plus.What Could Set You Apart:
Ability to stay on top of deadlines, track project work, and communicate status to marketing leadership. Align with customers/business partners/external partners on deadlines, deliver work on time and within stated deadlines, and proactively communicate any risks to deadlines/timelines. Ability to cultivate relationships with internal business partners (primarily business development). Collaborate throughout marketing planning and execution to understand the business partners’ needs. Passion and enthusiasm for marketing and an eagerness to learn about new tools, technology, and ways of working. May require travel by automobile and airplane up to 25% of the timePhysical Requirements:
