**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented Marketing Specialist – Senior to join our team specializing in marketing for our Cummins’ business in Indianapolis, IN. **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + **Strategic Planning:** By leading the development of marketing plans through comprehensive market research and pricing analyses, you’ll provide valuable insights that shape strategic decisions. + **Effective Communication:** Your work in drafting and preparing marketing communications will ensure clear and consistent messaging across all channels, enhancing brand visibility and engagement. + **Project Management:** By supporting and managing projects, you’ll ensure timely execution and alignment with marketing goals, fostering collaboration across regional teams. + **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Representing Marketing on Value Package Introduction project teams, you’ll bring a marketing perspective to cross-functional initiatives, driving integrated solutions. + **Brand Alignment:** Understanding and aligning your work with the global brand strategy will ensure that all marketing efforts are cohesive and reinforce the brand’s positioning. + **Customer Insights:** By documenting processes and integrating Voice of the Customer data, you’ll help tailor marketing plans to meet customer needs and improve satisfaction. + **Channel Expertise:** Learning and supporting relevant channels will enable you to optimize marketing activities and reach target audiences effectively. + **Mentorship and Development:** Coaching less experienced marketing specialists will foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team, enhancing overall performance. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + **Balance Stakeholders and Communicate Effectively** : Anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders while developing and delivering communications that clearly address the unique needs of different audiences. + **Focus on Customers and Drive Engagement** : Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions, creating a motivating environment where people are inspired to contribute to organizational goals. + **Plan, Align, and Be Resourceful** : Prioritize and plan work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals, and efficiently secure and deploy resources to achieve these objectives. + **Understand Channels and Analyze Markets** : Explain and contextualize industry structure and market dynamics to advance organizational goals, while researching and analyzing market data to identify trends and opportunities for delivering customer solutions. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education/Experience:** + College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or related subject required. + Knowledge of and experience using the four P's of marketing (Product, Price, Promotion, and Placement) required. + Demonstrated ability to set personal deadlines, take ownership of projects, and ensure timely delivery of all marketing initiatives without micromanagement. + Proven track record of handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines, ensuring that high-priority tasks are completed first and executed efficiently. + Proficient in analyzing marketing data to determine campaign success, and quickly pivoting strategies when necessary to stay on track with business goals. + Ability to think strategically about long-term marketing goals while executing the day-to-day tasks with precision. This includes experience in creating marketing plans that align with business growth objectives and the ability to pivot strategies quickly when needed. + Experience managing complex projects, setting timelines, and working collaboratively across teams to ensure project deadlines are consistently met. + Background in managing lead generation campaigns (e.g., paid search, display ads, or organic SEO) with a strong understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies. A focus on driving measurable outcomes such as qualified leads or sales conversions would be very beneficial for this role. + Ability to develop and refine brand messaging that resonates with target audiences and differentiates Cummins from their competitors. Experience creating competitive advantage through storytelling, brand positioning, and value articulation across various media. + Strong content creation skills, particularly for digital channels, with the ability to write compelling copy that resonates with different target audiences. A flair for storytelling, combined with an understanding of SEO best practices, will allow the candidate to drive more engagement. **Additional Responsibilities/Activities:** + Take full ownership of marketing initiatives, from planning through execution, ensuring deadlines are consistently met without compromising quality. Display a strong sense of urgency and drive to achieve marketing objectives on time, aligning with the business's fast-paced environment. + Lead the development and implementation of marketing communication strategies for CSSNA service operations across 160+ branches, focusing on key growth areas. Oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns (including digital and traditional media) to drive brand recognition and business success. + Foster collaboration between sales, marketing, and product teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives. Ensure regular communication and reporting to leadership, tracking marketing performance and optimizing strategies as necessary. + Analyze marketing performance data to continuously improve strategies, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive meaningful business outcomes. Employ advanced data analytics tools to track campaign results and optimize marketing activities. **Compensation** Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range.
