Marketplace Operations Manager, Netherlands
**About the role** Be part of a game-changing moment at Uber—this role is at the forefront of a major global shift. This marks Uber’s first business model change, where Uber has direct control over courier operations. As one of EMEA’s top priorities, this initiative presents an entirely new challenge that no one has tackled before. You will play a key role in identifying profitability levers, addressing cost inefficiencies, and driving data-led initiatives to strengthen marketplace health. The Marketplace team ensures Uber Eats customers in the Netherlands always have reliable, convenient, and affordable service. This complex challenge requires data-driven decisions and innovative problem-solving to manage operational complexities. Beyond leading this pivotal business model shift, you will help maintain a profitable marketplace by balancing supply and demand, refining profitability strategies, and improving cost efficiency across key operations. You will work closely with NL Operations, EMEA Central Operations, Product, Policy, Communications, and Legal teams to lead strategic initiatives that enhance marketplace health and long-term profitability. **What You'll Do** 1. Identify, scope, and execute high-impact projects to improve marketplace balance, enhance customer experience, and drive growth. 2. Leverage large datasets to uncover opportunities, synthesize insights, and inform strategic decisions. 3. Manage multiple projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery on critical metrics while keeping stakeholders informed. 4. Build models and analyze complex data to drive key business decisions and policy improvements. 5. Develop dashboards and define critical metrics to track performance, reporting key findings to senior leadership. 6. Work cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Finance, Policy, Marketing, and Customer Support teams to ensure insights drive broader initiatives. ## What You'll Need - Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field (operations, management consulting, analytics, finance, or similar). - Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a top university; Master's degree preferred. - Analytical mindset: Must be proficient in handling complex datasets using Excel/Google Sheets (or equivalent tools) to derive insights, validate real-world observations, and synthesize recommendations. - Self-starter, entrepreneurial, and able to deliver projects with full autonomy in a fast-paced environment. - Experience leading and delivering on multifaceted projects, working effectively with multiple stakeholders across the business. - Fluent in English (Dutch not required). ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a high-growth, tech-oriented environment. - Understanding of marketplace platform dynamics and operational strategy. - Proficient in SQL.
