Responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the culinary department. Assists the on-duty supervisor to ensure proper food preparation and quality throughout all food outlets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Prepares food and ingredients at the beginning of an assigned shift and replenishes during slow periods.
· Creates orders according to menu and supervisor instructions with attention to taste and visual appeal.
· Maintains the kitchen and supply room in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
· Assists in maintaining Marketplace inventory, orders, stocks, and rotates items. Dates all perishable items upon delivery. Keeps condiments filled.
· Keeps kitchen clean to include floors walls, ceiling tiles, equipment (inside & out) as well as deep cleaning projects such as fryers, grease traps, shelves and walls.
· Cleans area, restocks all items, puts away perishables, and covers all food items at the end of a shift.
· Makes recommendations to the supervisor regarding menu, recipes, food supply quantity, and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and a safe, efficient, and profitable operation.
· Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.
· Will be expected to learn the Agilysys system and the front serving area to assist the cashiers when needed.
· Maintains confidential information that is received in verbal, written, and electronic media. Limits access to information on a job-related, need-to know basis.
· Remains current on all Resort policies and procedures
· Maintains proper and professional relationship with all Resort Staff
Performs other duties and special projects as requested
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred
· 1 year of cooking experience preferred
· 1 year of cash handling and cash register experience preferred. 18 years of age or older
· Able to read and comprehend written instructions
· Must have administrative/clerical experience
· Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks at once
· Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer relations skill
· Current Food Handler or ServSafe Certificate and OLCC License required
· Must be able to obtain a Class I Gaming License
· Must maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance at all times (specific standards available)
