We're seeking a skilled editor for the Markets Live blog who will also assist on the Markets Pulse survey.
Are you up for the challenge of shaping commentary and analysis on major asset classes as the team reacts to the most consequential geopolitical and economic events? This role entails maintaining quality control while working at pace and under pressure, proactively curating the blog's flow to ensure the best possible scroll experience for readers, and helping edit our suite of daily Macro columns. And the Pulse -- a proprietary survey that leans on original data sourced from a representative sample of the entire market -- requires someone eager to hone their story crafting and management skills. We'll lean on this person to source ideas from across the markets teams on survey topics, formulate questions, engage with colleagues and stakeholders to promote the survey and help oversee the story writing and editing. It's the perfect training ground for an editor who aspires to take on future leadership roles.
In this role, you will:Edit analytical stories on diverse topics spanning global equities, fixed-income, credit, currencies and commoditiesWrite and edit breaking-news blog posts to keep our readers abreast of the latest market-related developmentsPlay a role in driving the development of the Pulse project and managing the monthly survey storyDebate markets ideas with the broader team of strategists and editorsGet an opportunity, if desired, to develop multimedia skills and train as a backup squawkerIt requires:Knowledge of markets and intellectual curiosityA flair for writing, editing and crafting headlines The ability to switch between short- and long-form editingA knack for translating complicated subject matter into clear English using a conversational styleSkill at maximizing the power of charts and data Salary Range = 120000 - 160000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
