Massage Therapist **Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa** 1 Positions ID: 52416 Posted On 09/05/2024 **Job Overview** **PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS** Greets all guests in a professional and courteous manner and provides accurate and timely information and therapies. Performs assigned spa massage therapies on guests utilizing various modalities and assuring the enjoyment and satisfaction of spa guests. Direct all efforts toward guest satisfaction, the achievement and maintenance of all the spa standards and profit maximization. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Performs consultation, therapy analysis and verbal communication with every guest seeking massage therapies. Solicits information regarding medical conditions that may be impacted by therapy. + Performs all services for which training has been received in the allotted time period. + Maintains treatment room in prescribed sanitary condition. + Promotes and sells spa retail merchandise + Maintains therapies within the state guidelines of the Massage Therapy license. Perform bodywork to coincide with protocols. Therapies include, massage, body wraps, reflexology, energy therapies, and related enchantments. Perform therapy on all guests regardless of age, (12yrs and older), gender or ethnicity. + Sanitizes all areas of treatment room to protocol including all instruments, tools, appliances used for therapies. + Fresh linens are to be used for every guest. + Maintains fully stocked therapy rooms. + Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times. + Maintains good customer relations by answering questions and taking care of customer concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner. + Responds in a professional and courteous manner to arriving, departing and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services. Respond to guest inquiries regarding spa reservations, therapy descriptions, and guest concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner. **QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Certification from college, technical school or accredited facility in Massage Therapy; and three to six months related experience and/or training. **LANGUAGE SKILLS** Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors, and fellow associates. **MATHEMATICAL SKILLS** Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction and multiplication. **REASONING ABILITY** Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgments regarding the process of guest therapies at the spa. **CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS** Must be a certified and licensed Illinois Massage Therapist. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
